DECREE-LAW

NO. 75/SL OF JULY 1, 1949

THE PRESIDENT

VIETNAMESE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC

Considering the current situation;

In accordance with the proposal of the Ministers of Interior, Justice, Finance, and Agriculture;

Pursuant to a resolution of the Council of Ministers after consultation with the Standing Committee of the National Assembly;

ENACTS THE FOLLOWING DECREE-LAW:

Article 1

Land and property attached to land confiscated from criminals convicted of offenses detrimental to national independence shall be incorporated into state public assets.

Article 2

Confiscated lands are classified into three categories:

1- Forested or uncultivated land: returned to the state as public domain;

2- Land used for growing industrial crops, fruit trees, or livestock farming: to be exploited by the Government;

3- Paddy fields and vegetable plots: temporarily allocated to farmers.

Article 3

A joint decree of the Ministries of Interior, Justice, Finance, and Agriculture shall specify the detailed implementation of this Decree-Law.

Article 4

The Ministers of Interior, Justice, Finance, and Agriculture are responsible for implementing this Decree-Law.
