DECISION
Regarding the reorganization of certain organizations established pursuant to
Decisions of the Government
PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
On the basis of the Government's plan to implement Resolution No. 207/1999/QĐ-TTg dated October 25, 1999 of the Prime Minister concerning the implementation of the Seventh Plenary Session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (Term VIII);
Considering the proposal of the Minister of the Government's Organization and Cadre Department and the Chairman of the Government Office;
DECISION:
Article 1. Dissolve the following organizations:
1. The National Coordination Board for the Internet in Vietnam established by Decision No. 136/TTg dated March 5, 1997 of the Prime Minister.
2. The State Scientific Council on Safety of Hydroelectric Projects Hoa Binh established by Decision No. 607/TTg dated September 27, 1995 of the Prime Minister.
3. The Steering Committee for the Implementation of the Project to Invest in Building a Cultural and Tourism Village of Ethnic Groups in Vietnam established by Decision No. 135/QĐ-TTg dated March 3, 1998 of the Prime Minister.
Article 2.
1. The Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment shall undertake the tasks of the organizations mentioned in Clause 1 and 2 of Article 1 of this Decision. The Minister of Science, Technology and Environment shall issue a decision to establish an advisory body to assist the Minister and utilize the machinery of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment to perform these tasks.
2. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall undertake the task of the organization mentioned in Clause 3 of Article 1 of this Decision. The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall issue a decision to establish an advisory body to assist the Minister and utilize the machinery of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to perform this task.
Article 3. This Decision takes effect fifteen days after the date of signature.
The Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government agencies, and Chairpersons of provincial People's Committees and municipal People's Committees directly under the Central Government are responsible for enforcing this Decision./.
