DECISION OF THE MINISTER OF AQUATIC RESOURCES

Regarding the issuance of Industry Standards

Pursuant to Decree No. 50/CP dated June 21, 1994 of the Government on the tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Fisheries;

Based on the proposal of the Director of the Science and Technology Department in the Memorandum dated July 31, 2000; 

DECISION:

Clause 4 of Article 6 Issued together with this Decision are the following five industry standards:

1. 28TCN156:2000 "Regulations on the use of food additives in fish processing"

2. 28TCN139:2000 "Fish drying processing facilities - Conditions for ensuring food safety and hygiene"

3. 28TCN163:2000 "Fish ports - Conditions for ensuring food safety and hygiene"

4. 28TCN164:2000 "Fish purchasing facilities - Conditions for ensuring food safety and hygiene"

5. 28TCN165:2000 "Fish markets - Conditions for ensuring food safety and hygiene"

Article 2. These standards shall be mandatory and take effect as follows:

a) For the first standard: From the date of signing for all fish processing facilities producing food throughout the country.

b) For the second through fifth standards:

- From January 1, 2001 for all fish drying processing facilities producing food, fish ports, wholesale fish markets, and fish purchasing facilities throughout the country.

- From the date of signing for fish drying processing facilities exporting to the European Union, the United States, and other countries that require the implementation of HACCP.

Article 3. The Heads of the Ministry's Office; Heads of Departments; Chief Inspector of the Ministry; Directors of Fisheries Departments, Agriculture and Rural Development Departments responsible for fisheries management; Director of the Fish Quality Inspection and Sanitation Center; Directors of fish processing and service facilities mentioned in Article 2 and other related units are responsible for implementing this Decision.
