APPROVING THE NUMBER OF ELECTORAL UNITS AND THE LIST OF SUCH UNITS AND THE NUMBER OF DELEGATES TO BE ELECTED IN EACH ELECTORAL UNIT FOR THE PROVINICAL PEOPLE'S COUNCIL
OF SOC TRANG PROVINCE FOR THE 2004-2009 TERM
term 2004 - 2009 of the province of Soc Trang
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to Article 9, Article 10, and Article 11 of the Law on Elections of Members of People's Councils dated November 26, 2003;
Pursuant to Resolution No. 429/2003/NQ-UBTVQH of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly dated December 23, 2003 on fixing the date of elections of members of People's Councils at all levels for the 2004-2009 term;
At the request of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Soc Trang Province and the Minister of Home Affairs,
DECREE
Article 1. APPROVING THE NUMBER OF 11 (ELEVEN) ELECTORAL UNITS, 55 (FIFTY-FIVE) DELEGATES TO THE SOC TRANG PROVINCIAL PEOPLE'S COUNCIL, AND THE NUMBER OF DELEGATES TO BE ELECTED IN EACH ELECTORAL UNIT FOR THE SOC TRANG PROVINCIAL PEOPLE'S COUNCIL FOR THE 2004-2009 TERM (ATTACHED LIST).
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Article 3. THE CHAIRPERSON OF THE PROVINCIAL PEOPLE'S COUNCIL, THE CHAIRPERSON OF THE PROVINCIAL PEOPLE'S COMMITTEE, THE MINISTER OF INTERIOR, AND THE MINISTER, HEAD OF THE GOVERNMENT OFFICE SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPLEMENTING THIS DECREE./.
