12/2025/TT-BNNMT dated June 19, 2025 issued by the Minister of Agriculture and EnvironmentThe organization of Vietnam's Elderly Day must be practical, economical, and effective, avoiding formalism, with the aim of implementing the following contents and requirements:
1. Educating about the noble traditions of elderly people in Vietnam, encouraging and motivating elderly people to participate in building civilized lifestyles and cultural families; continuing to contribute their wisdom and experience to the cause of building and defending the country.
2. Mobilizing the whole population to participate in the movement of caring for and promoting the role of elderly people; paying attention to taking care of elderly people, especially those who face difficulties in material and spiritual aspects.
3. Calling on the community to contribute to caring for elderly people, creating conditions for elderly people to live happily, healthily, and meaningfully.
4. Commending and rewarding elderly people with outstanding achievements and collectives and individuals with many achievements in the work of caring for elderly people through appropriate forms.
Article 3. The Chairman of the Vietnam Elderly Association shall guide the implementation of this Decision based on current regulations in accordance with the contents and requirements stipulated in Article 2 of this Decision.
Article 4. This Decision shall take effect from the date of signing.
Article 5.The Chairman of the Vietnam Elderly Association, Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies under the Government, and Chairmen of provincial People's Committees directly under the Central Government are responsible for enforcing this Decision./.
