THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT
Pursuant to the Government Decree No. 73/CP dated November 1, 1995 on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; Pursuant to the Government Decree No. 50/CP dated August 28, 1996 on the establishment, restructuring, dissolution, and bankruptcy of state-owned enterprises;
Pursuant to Decision No. 98 TCLD dated February 27, 1993 of the then Ministry of Forestry now the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on the establishment of the Timber Processing and Trading Company, later renamed the Import-Export Timber and Agricultural Products Company under the Vietnam Forest Corporation;
Pursuant to Decision No. 397 TCLD dated May 28, 1993 of the then Ministry of Forestry now the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on the establishment of the Road Transport Timber Enterprise, later renamed the Transport and Timber Trading Company of Hanoi under the Vietnam Forest Corporation;
Considering the proposal of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Forest Corporation as stated in Circular No. 111HĐQT/TCLĐ/CV dated May 10, 2000;
The Transport and Timber Trading Company of Hanoi shall be merged into the Import-Export Timber and Agricultural Products Company under the Vietnam Forest Corporation.
At the proposal of the Director of the Cadre and Civil Servant Department,
DECISION:
Article 1.- The business activities of the Import-Export Timber and Agricultural Products Company shall be carried out according to the decisions of the Ministry regarding the establishment of the two companies mentioned above and the decisions of the Ministry regarding the addition of business activities for these two companies.
Article 2.- The Vietnam Forest Corporation shall be responsible for organizing the handover of the Transport and Timber Trading Company of Hanoi to the Import-Export Timber and Agricultural Products Company in accordance with current regulations and developing a plan to reorganize the Import-Export Timber and Agricultural Products Company to promote production and business development and resolve any outstanding issues.
Article 3.- The Director of the Office, Heads of Departments under the Department of Organization and Cadres, Heads of relevant units under the Ministry, General Director of the Vietnam Forest Corporation, Director of the Import-Export Timber and Agricultural Products Company, and Director of the Transport and Timber Trading Company of Hanoi are responsible for implementing this decision./.
Article 4.- THIS DECISION SHALL TAKE EFFECT 15 DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF SIGNATURE.
Article 5.- The Director of the Office, the Head of the Cadre and Civil Servant Organization Department, the Heads of relevant units under the Ministry, the General Director of the Vietnam Forest Corporation, the Director of the Saigon Timber and Agricultural Products Import-Export Company, and the Director of the Hanoi Forestry Transport and Business Company are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
