THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Considering the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho province and the Minister, Head of the Organization-Cadre Department of the Government,
DECREE:
Article 1. Now, the establishment of communes under the districts of Thot Not and Phung Hiep, Can Tho province is as follows:
1. Establishing Trung Kien commune under Thot Not district based on 1,348.94 hectares of natural area and 23,979 population from Trung Nhat commune, 115 hectares of natural area, and 1,942 population from Thuong Hung commune.
Trung Kien commune has 1,463.94 hectares of natural area and 25,921 population.
The administrative boundary of Trung Kien commune: East borders Thuong Hung commune; West borders Thot Not town; South borders Trung An commune; North borders Tan Loc commune.
After the adjustment of administrative boundaries:
Trung Nhat commune has 2,522.99 hectares of natural area and 20,725 population.
Thuong Hung commune has 2,819.87 hectares of natural area and 25,465 population.
2. Establishing Tan Long commune under Phung Hiep district based on 2,172 hectares of natural area and 15,799 population from Long Thanh commune.
The administrative boundary of Tan Long commune: East borders Chau Thanh district; West borders Long Thanh commune; South borders Hoa My commune; North borders Long Thanh commune.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries, Long Thanh commune has 2,605 hectares of natural area and 17,541 population.
Article 2. This Decree takes effect from the date of issuance. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are abolished.
Article 3. THE CHAIRMAN OF THE PEOPLE'S COMMITTEE OF CAN THO PROVINCE, THE MINISTER, HEAD OF THE ORGANIZATION-CIVIL SERVICE DEPARTMENT OF THE GOVERNMENT AND THE HEADS OF THE RELATED AUTHORITIES SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THIS DECREE./.
