DECREE
REGARDING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF PHAN THIET CITY IN BINH THUAN PROVINCE

THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Considering the proposal of the Chairman Within 10 working days from the date of receipt of the dossier as mentioned in Sub-clause b, Clause 1, Article 3 above, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will review and submit to the competent authority for decision (Issues exceeding the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' jurisdiction will be referred to the Prime Minister for consideration and decision).THE PEOPLE'S COMMITTEE OF BINH THUAN PROVINCE AND THE MINISTER, HEAD OF THE ORGANIZATION-CIVIL SERVICE BOARD OF THE GOVERNMENT;
DECREE:
Article 1. NOW, PHAN THIET CITY IS ESTABLISHED IN BINH THUAN PROVINCE ON THE BASIS OF THE ENTIRE AREA AND POPULATION OF PHAN THIET TOWN.
PHAN THIET CITY HAS AN AREA OF 20,586 HA AND A POPULATION OF 186,404, INCLUDING 15 ADMINISTRATIVE UNITS (10 WARD AND 5 COMMUNE).
THE ADMINISTRATIVE BOUNDARIES OF PHAN THIET CITY: EAST ADJACENT TO THE EAST SEA; WEST ADJACENT TO HAM THUAN SOUTH DISTRICT; SOUTH ADJACENT TO THE EAST SEA; NORTH ADJACENT TO HAM THUAN NORTH DISTRICT AND BAC BINH DISTRICT.
Article 2. THIS DECREE SHALL TAKE EFFECT FROM THE DATE OF ISSUANCE. ALL PRIOR PROVISIONS CONTRARY TO THIS DECREE ARE ABROGATED.
Article 3. THE CHAIRMAN OF THE PEOPLE'S COMMITTEE OF BINH THUAN PROVINCE, THE MINISTER, HEAD OF THE ORGANIZATION-CIVIL SERVICE BOARD OF THE GOVERNMENT, AND THE HEADS OF THE RELATED AUTHORITIES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPLEMENTING THIS DECREE.
