THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT
Pursuant to Decree No. 73/CP dated November 1, 1995 of the Government on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;
Pursuant to Decision No. 120/1999/QD-TTg dated May 7, 1999 of the Prime Minister approving the development plan for pepper until 2010;
Pursuant to Decision No. 76/1998/QD-BNN/TCCB dated May 27, 1998 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development regarding the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Southern Agricultural Science and Technology Institute;
Considering the proposal of the Director of the Southern Agricultural Science and Technology Institute, the Deputy Minister of Science and Technology and Post-Harvest Processing, and the Deputy Minister of Organization and Cadres;
DECISION:
Article 1. - The Department of Pepper and Cardamom Research under the Southern Agricultural Science and Technology Institute is hereby established. The Department shall be responsible for coordinating with relevant Institutes to conduct research on physiology, biochemistry, breeding, cultivation techniques, processing of pepper and cardamom to serve the development of these crops in the southern provinces.
Article 2. - The Director of the Southern Agricultural Science and Technology Institute is assigned to determine the specific tasks, staffing, operational regulations... of the Department of Pepper and Cardamom Research according to the current classification level of the Ministry.
This Decision takes effect fifteen days from the date of signature./.
Article 3. - The Head of the Ministry's Office, the Deputy Minister of Organization and Cadres, the Heads of related agencies and units under the Ministry, and the Director of the Southern Agricultural Science and Technology Institute are responsible for implementing this decision./.
