DECREE

Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of Tan Thanh district and Ba Ria city; the adjustment of administrative boundaries, establishment of wards and communes under Ba Ria city, Binh Duong-Vung Tau province

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the People's Committee of Binh Duong-Vung Tau province,

DECREE

Article 1.

Adjustment of administrative boundaries between Tan Thanh district and Ba Ria city; adjustment of administrative boundaries, establishment of wards and communes under Ba Ria city, Binh Duong-Vung Tau province.

1. Adjustment of administrative boundaries between Tan Thanh district and Ba Ria city:

Adjusting 28.53 hectares of natural area and 122 population units of Chu Pha commune, Tan Thanh district to be managed by Phuoc Hung ward, Ba Ria city.

2. Adjustment of administrative boundaries and establishment of wards and communes under Ba Ria city:

a) Adjusting 308.50 hectares of natural area and 308 population units of Hoa Long commune to be managed by Phuoc Hung ward.

b) Adjusting 59.77 hectares of natural area and 4,007 population units of Phuoc Hung ward to be managed by Phuoc Hiep ward.

c) Adjusting 1.66 hectares of natural area and 237 population units of Phuoc Nguyen ward to be managed by Phuoc Hiep ward.

d) Adjusting 71.40 hectares of natural area and 1,171 population units of Long Toan ward to be managed by Phuoc Nguyen ward.

đ) Adjusting 5.14 hectares of natural area and 224 population units of Phuoc Nguyen ward to be managed by Long Toan ward.

e) Adjusting 13.07 hectares of natural area and 357 population units of Phuoc Trung ward to be managed by Long Toan ward.

g) Adjusting 0.94 hectares of natural area and 102 population units of Phuoc Trung ward to be managed by Phuoc Hiep ward.

h) Adjusting 0.54 hectares of natural area and 92 population units of Phuoc Hiep ward to be managed by Phuoc Trung ward.

3. Establishing Tan Hung commune based on 744.20 hectares of natural area and 4,923 population units of Phuoc Hung ward.

Tan Hung commune has 744.20 hectares of natural area and 4,923 population units.

Administrative boundary of Tan Hung commune: East borders Phuoc Hung ward and Hoa Long commune; West borders Long Huong ward and Tan Thanh district; South borders Long Huong and Phuoc Hung wards; North borders Tan Thanh and Chau Duc districts.

4. Establishing Long Tam ward based on 358.47 hectares of natural area and 4,125 population units of Long Toan ward.

Long Tam ward has 358.47 hectares of natural area and 4,125 population units.

Administrative boundary of Long Tam ward: East borders Long Phuoc commune; West borders Phuoc Hung and Phuoc Nguyen wards; South borders Phuoc Nguyen, Long Toan wards and Long Dien district; North borders Hoa Long commune.

After adjusting administrative boundaries of Tan Thanh district and Ba Ria city and adjusting administrative boundaries, establishing wards and communes under Ba Ria city:

Ba Ria city has 9,090.41 hectares of natural area and 85,268 population units, with 11 subordinate administrative units including Phuoc Hung, Long Toan, Phuoc Trung, Phuoc Nguyen, Phuoc Hiep, Kim Dinh, Long Huong, Long Tam wards and Long Phuoc, Hoa Long, Tan Hung communes.

Phuoc Hung ward has 292.93 hectares of natural area and 5,015 population units.

Long Toan ward has 271.74 hectares of natural area and 7,948 population units.

Phuoc Trung ward has 607.86 hectares of natural area and 6,322 population units.

Phuoc Nguyen ward has 251.71 hectares of natural area and 11,658 population units.

Phuoc Hiep ward has 96.34 hectares of natural area and 10,056 population units.

Hoa Long commune has 1,510.85 hectares of natural area and 10,949 population units.

Tan Thanh district retains 33,760.83 hectares of natural area and 105,773 population units, with 10 subordinate administrative units including Tan Hai, Tan Hoa, Tan Phuoc, Phuoc Hoa, My Xuan, Toc Tien, Hac Dich, Song Xoai, Chu Pha communes and Phu My town.

Chu Pha commune retains 3,253.21 hectares of natural area and 10,916 population units.

Article 2.

This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.

Article 3.

The People's Committee of Binh Duong-Vung Tau province, the Minister of Interior, and heads of related agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
