DECREE NO. 83-CP OF AUGUST 6, 1994 ON THE DIVISION OF SON HA DISTRICT INTO
SON TAY AND SON HA DISTRICTS IN QUANG NGAI PROVINCE
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
At the request of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai Province and the Minister, Head of the Organization-Cadres Department of the Government;
DECREE:
Article 1. Divide Son Ha District in Quang Ngai Province into Son Tay District and Son Ha District.
- Son Tay District has a natural area of 41,893 hectares; population 13,315. It consists of four communes: Son Tinh Commune, Son Dung Commune, Son Mua Commune, and Son Tan Commune.
The boundaries of Son Tay District: to the East, it borders Son Ha District; to the West, it borders Kon Plong District, Kon Tum Province and Tra My District, Quang Nam-Danang Province; to the South, it borders Kon Plong District, Kon Tum Province; to the North, it borders Tra Bong District.
- Son Ha District has a natural area of 73,910 hectares; population 56,395. It consists of twelve communes: Son Ha Commune, Son Thanh Commune, Son Nham Commune, Son Cao Commune, Son Linh Commune, Son Giang Commune, Son Thuy Commune, Son Ky Commune, Son Ba Commune, Son Bao Commune, Son Thuan Commune, and Son Lang Commune.
