THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT
Pursuant to Decree No. 73/CP dated November 1, 1995 of the Government on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;
Pursuant to Decision No. 817 NN/TCCB/QĐ dated May 9, 1997 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development on the establishment of the Agricultural and Rural Development Information Center (referred to as the Information Center);
Upon the proposal of the Director of the Information Center and the Head of the Personnel Department,
DECISION:
Article 1. The Information Center is a self-financing public service unit directly under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; it receives funding from the scientific affairs budget; it is authorized to use its seal and open a separate account at the Treasury in accordance with current State regulations.
The headquarters of the Center is located at 2 Ngoc Ha Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi City.
Article 2. The Information Center shall perform the following tasks:
- Collecting, compiling, analyzing, and providing information to support the development of strategies, policies, and state management activities of the Ministry;
- Compiling, analyzing, and providing information on agricultural production and rural markets;
- Compiling and providing information on science and technology both domestically and internationally related to agricultural and rural development;
- Compiling and providing information on international cooperation in agriculture and rural development;
- Participating in trade promotion activities of the sector.
Article 3. Organization of the Center:
* Leadership of the Center includes the Director and Deputy Directors of the Center, appointed and relieved of duty by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development in accordance with current regulations,
* Professional departments,
* Southern Representative Office at 135 Pasteur Street, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City.
The Director of the Center is tasked with defining the functions, tasks, staffing levels, operational regulations, and organizational structure of the professional departments in accordance with relevant provisions and guidelines issued by the Ministry.
Article 4. This Decision takes effect 15 days after the date of signature, replacing Decision No. 817/NN/TCCB/QĐ dated May 9, 1997 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Article 5. The Chief of the Ministry's General Office, the Head of the Personnel Department, Heads of relevant agencies and units under the Ministry, and the Director of the Information Center are responsible for implementing this decision./.
