DECREE
Regarding the establishment of communes and wards under Go Quao district,
An Minh district, Tan Hiep district, Giong Riang district, and Rach Gia city, Kien Giang province
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Considering the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Kien Giang province and the Minister, Head of the Organization-Cadre Department of the Government,
DECREE DECIDE:
Article 1. The communes and wards under Go Quao district, An Minh district, Tan Hiep district, Giong Riang district, and Rach Gia city, Kien Giang province shall be established as follows:
1. Establish Vinh Thang commune under Go Quao district based on 3,383 hectares of natural area and 10,325 population from Vinh Tuy commune.
Administrative boundary of Vinh Thang commune: East borders Bac Lieu province; West borders Vinh Phuoc commune; South borders Vinh Tuy commune; North borders Vinh Thang commune.
After adjusting administrative boundaries to establish Vinh Thang commune, Vinh Tuy commune will remain with 3,442 hectares of natural area and 10,905 population.
2. Establish Van Khanh Dong commune under An Minh district based on 4,001 hectares of natural area and 7,169 population from Van Khanh commune.
Administrative boundary of Van Khanh Dong commune: East borders Thuthuc town; West borders the East Sea; South borders Van Khanh commune; North borders Dong Hung An commune.
3. Establish Van Khanh Tay commune under An Minh district based on 4,641 hectares of natural area and 6,339 population from Van Khanh commune.
Administrative boundary of Van Khanh Tay commune: East borders Ca Mau province; West borders the East Sea; South borders Ca Mau province; North borders Van Khanh commune.
After adjusting administrative boundaries to establish Van Khanh Dong and Van Khanh Tay communes, Van Khanh commune will remain with 6,240 hectares of natural area and 10,263 population.
4. Establish Tan Thanh commune under Tan Hiep district based on 3,386.31 hectares of natural area and 10,443 population from Tan Hoi commune.
Administrative boundary of Tan Thanh commune: East borders Tan Hiep B commune; West borders My Lam commune; South borders Tan Hoi commune; North borders An Giang province.
After adjusting administrative boundaries to establish Tan Thanh commune, Tan Hoi commune will remain with 4,390.63 hectares of natural area and 12,859 population.
5. Establish Ngoc Thanh commune under Giong Riang district based on 2,397 hectares of natural area and 8,039 population from Ngoc Chuc commune.
Administrative boundary of Ngoc Thanh commune: East borders Ngoc Thuan commune; West borders Ngoc Chuc commune; South borders Ngoc Chuc commune; North borders Thanh Loc commune.
6. Establish Ngoc Thuan commune under Giong Riang district based on 3,739 hectares of natural area and 8,540 population from Ngoc Chuc commune.
Administrative boundary of Ngoc Thuan commune: East borders Hoa Loi commune; West borders Ngoc Thanh commune; South borders Hoa An commune; North borders Thanh Loc commune.
After adjusting administrative boundaries to establish Ngoc Thanh and Ngoc Thuan communes, Ngoc Chuc commune will remain with 2,677 hectares of natural area and 10,896 population.
7. Establish Ban Thach commune under Giong Riang district based on 2,106.4 hectares of natural area and 9,663 population from Ban Tan Ding commune.
Administrative boundary of Ban Thach commune: East borders Thanh Hoa commune; West borders Chau Than district; South borders Long Thanh commune; North borders Ban Tan Ding commune.
After adjusting administrative boundaries to establish Ban Thach commune, Ban Tan Ding commune will remain with 3,289.3 hectares of natural area and 11,364 population.
8. Establish Vinh Quang ward under Rach Gia city based on 1,064.8 hectares of natural area and 18,449 population from Vinh Thanh ward.
Administrative boundary of Vinh Quang ward: East borders Vinh Thong ward; West borders the East Sea; South borders Vinh Thanh ward; North borders Hon Dat district.
After adjusting administrative boundaries to establish Vinh Quang ward, Vinh Thanh ward will remain with 82.2 hectares of natural area and 24,762 population.
9. Establish Vinh Loi ward under Rach Gia city based on 398.4 hectares of natural area and 7,659 population from Rach Soi ward.
Administrative boundary of Vinh Loi ward: East borders Chau Than district; West borders Rach Soi ward; South borders Chau Than district; North borders An Hoa ward.
After adjusting administrative boundaries to establish Vinh Loi ward, Rach Soi ward will remain with 541.6 hectares of natural area and 15,701 population.
Article 2. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong Province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Kien Giang province, the Minister, Head of the Organization-Cadre Department of the Government, and Heads of related agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
