Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries to establish communes and towns in the districts of Tuy Phong, Bac Binh, and Ham Thuong Bac, Province of Binh Thuan

THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan Province,
DECREE:
Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries are adjusted to establish communes and towns in the districts of Tuy Phong, Bac Binh, and Ham Thuong Bac, Province of Binh Thuan as follows:
1. Establishing Vinh Tan Commune in Tuy Phong District based on 5,908 hectares of natural area and 4,397 population of Vinh Hao Commune. The administrative boundary of Vinh Tan Commune: East borders Ninh Thuan Province; West borders Vinh Hao Commune; South borders the East Sea; North borders Ninh Thuan Province. After establishing Vinh Tan Commune, Vinh Hao Commune will retain 7,757 hectares of natural area and 6,430 population.
2. Establishing Song Binh Commune in Bac Binh District based on 5,665.29 hectares of natural area and 3,132 population of Song Luu Commune and 803.99 hectares of natural area of Luong Son Commune. Song Binh Commune has 6,469.28 hectares of natural area and 3,132 population. The administrative boundary of Song Binh Commune: East borders Luong Son Commune; West and South border Song Luu Commune; North borders Phan Son and Phan Lam Communes. After adjusting the administrative boundary to establish Song Binh Commune: Song Luu Commune retains 9,135.71 hectares of natural area and 7,793 population. Luong Son Commune retains 13,201.51 hectares of natural area and 13,441 population.
3. Establishing Phu Long Town in Ham Thuong Bac District based on the entire natural area and population of Ham Nhon Commune. Phu Long Town has 2,250.6 hectares of natural area and 14,042 population. The administrative boundary of Phu Long Town: East borders Phan Thiet City; West borders Ham Chinh and Ham Thang Communes; South borders Phan Thiet City; North borders Ham Duc Commune.
Article 2. This Decree takes effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan Province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
