DECREE

Regarding the adjustment of the administrative boundaries of Dong Hỷ District to expand Thái Nguyên City, Thái Nguyên Province

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Upon the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thái Nguyên Province,

DECREE:

Article 1. The administrative boundaries of Dong Hỷ District are adjusted to expand Thái Nguyên City, Thái Nguyên Province as follows:

1. Adjusting 1,262.96 hectares of natural area and 11,845 inhabitants from Dong Hỷ District under the management of Thái Nguyên City (including the entire 401.90 hectares of natural area and 5,398 inhabitants of Đồng Bẩm Commune, 861.06 hectares of natural area and 6,447 inhabitants of Cao Ngạn Commune).

Thái Nguyên City has 18,970.48 hectares of natural area and 256,346 inhabitants, with 28 subordinate administrative units, including wards: Tân Long, Quan Trieu, Quang Vinh, Dong Quang, Quang Trung, Thinh Dan, Tan Thinh, Hoang Van Thu, Phan Dinh Phung, Trung Vuong, Tuc Duyen, Gia Sang, Tan Lap, Phu Xa, Trung Thanh, Tan Thanh, Cam Gia, Huong Son and communes: Tan Cuong, Phuc Triu, Phuc Xuan, Thinh Duc, Quyet Thang, Phuc Ha, Tic Luong, Luong Son, Cao Ngan, Dong Bam.

Administrative boundaries of Thái Nguyên City: East borders Phú Bình District; West borders Dai Tu and Phu Yen Districts; South borders Song Cong Town and Phu Yen District; North borders Dong Hỷ, Dai Tu, and Phu Luong Districts.

2. After adjusting the administrative boundaries:

Dong Hỷ District retains 45,774.98 hectares of natural area and 114,608 inhabitants, with 18 subordinate administrative units, including communes: Hoa Thượng, Huong Thượng, Nam Hoa, Tan Lợi, Cay Thi, Hop Tien, Khe Mo, Van Han, Hoa Trung, Quang Son, Van Lang, Tan Long, Hoa Binh, Minh Lap, Linh Son and market towns: Chua Hang, Trai Cau, Song Cau.

Administrative boundaries of Dong Hỷ District: Southeast borders Yên Thế District, Bac Giang Province; West borders Phu Luong District; South borders Phú Bình District; Southwest-Southwest borders Thái Nguyên City; North-Northeast borders Vo Nhai District.

Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette.

Article 3. The Minister of Interior, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thái Nguyên Province, and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
