Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes and establishment of commune-town under
Trà Cú district, Trà Vinh province
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Trà Vinh province,
DECREE:
Article 1. Adjust the administrative boundaries of Hàm Giang commune and Định An commune to establish Hàm Tân commune and Định An town under Trà Cú district, Trà Vinh province as follows:
1. Establish Hàm Tân commune under Trà Cú district based on adjusting 2,098 hectares of natural area and 7,759 population from Hàm Giang commune.
Hàm Tân commune has 2,098 hectares of natural area and 7,759 population.
Administrative boundary of Hàm Tân commune: East borders Hàm Giang commune; West borders Hậu River; South borders Đại An commune and Định An commune; North borders Thanh Sơn commune.
2. Establish Định An town under Trà Cú district based on adjusting 403.86 hectares of natural area and 5,444 population from Định An commune.
Định An town has 403.86 hectares of natural area and 5,444 population.
Administrative boundary of Định An town: East borders Đại An commune; West borders Định An commune; South borders Nguyễn Văn Pho canal, Long Vĩnh commune, Duyên Hải district; North borders Đại An commune and Định An commune.

Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Article 3. The Minister of Home Affairs, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Trà Vinh province, and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
