Decree No. 87/2008/NĐ-CP On Adjusting Administrative Boundaries of Trấn Yên District to Expand Yen Bai City and Yen Binh District, Yen Bai Province

DECREE

Regarding the adjustment of the administrative boundaries of Trấn Yên district to expand the city of Yên Bái and Yên Bình district, Yên Bái province

 in Yên Bái province

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Yên Bái province,

DECREE:

Article 1. The administrative boundaries of Trấn Yên district are adjusted to expand the city of Yên Bái and Yên Bình district, Yên Bái province as follows:

1. Adjusting 5,043.233 hectares of natural area and 15,400 population from Trấn Yên district under the management of the city of Yên Bái (including the entire 506.800 hectares of natural area and 1,631 population of Văn Phú commune; 908.512 hectares of natural area and 2,885 population of Văn Tiến commune; 928.627 hectares of natural area and 3,342 population of Hợp Minh commune; 534.780 hectares of natural area and 1,650 population of Giới Phiên commune; 579.853 hectares of natural area and 1,322 population of Phúc Lộc commune; 1,584.661 hectares of natural area and 4,570 population of Âu Lâu commune).

The city of Yên Bái has 10,815.453 hectares of natural area and 95,892 population, with 17 subordinate administrative units, including the wards: Yên Thịnh, Đồng Tâm, Minh Tân, Nguyễn Phúc, Nguyễn Thái Học, Hồng Hà, Yên Ninh, and the communes: Minh Bảo, Tân Thịnh, Nam Cường, Tuy Lộc, Văn Phú, Văn Tiến, Hợp Minh, Giới Phiên, Phúc Lộc, Âu Lâu.

Administrative boundaries of the city of Yên Bái: East borders Yên Bình district; West borders Trấn Yên district; South borders Yên Bình district and Trấn Yên district; North borders Yên Bình district and Trấn Yên district.

2. Adjusting the entire 1,074.629 hectares of natural area and 2,066 population of Văn Lãng commune, Trấn Yên district under the management of Yên Bình district.

Yên Bình district has 77,319.669 hectares of natural area and 107,882 population, with 26 subordinate administrative units, including the communes: Phú Thịnh, Văn Lãng, Tích Cốc, Cảm Ân, Phúc Ninh, Bảo Ái, Mỹ Gia, Tân Nguyên, Yên Thành, Xuân Long, Phúc An, Cẩm Nhân, Vũ Linh, Ngọc Chấn, Yên Bình, Xuân Lai, Vĩnh Kiên, Bạch Hà, Hán Đà, Mông Sơn, Thịnh Hưng, Tân Hương, Đại Đồng, Đại Minh, and the town centers: Yên Bình, Thác Bà.

Administrative boundaries of Yên Bình district: East borders Đoan Hùng district, Phú Thọ province; Southwest borders Trấn Yên district; Northeast borders Hàm Yên district, Tuyên Quang province; Northwest borders the city of Yên Bái.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries:

Trấn Yên district remains with 62,859.538 hectares of natural area and 82,284 population, with 22 subordinate administrative units, including the communes: Vân Hội, Tân Đồng, Hưng Khánh, Đào Thịnh, Hồng Ca, Việt Cường, Lương Thịnh, Hòa Cuông, Báo Đáp, Cường Thịnh, Minh Quán, Nga Quán, Quy Mông, Kiên Thành, Y Can, Minh Tiến, Việt Thành, Bảo Hưng, Việt Hồng, Minh Quân, Hưng Thịnh, and the town center: Cổ Phúc.

Administrative boundaries of Trấn Yên district: East borders Yên Bình district, the city of Yên Bái, and Phú Thọ province; West borders Văn Chấn district and Văn Yên district; South borders Văn Chấn district; North borders Yên Bình district and Văn Yên district.

Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette.

Article 3. The Minister of Interior, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Yên Bái province, and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
