THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT

Pursuant to Decree No. 73/CP dated November 1, 1995 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;

Based on the regulations governing plant protection chemicals issued together with Decree No. 92/CP dated November 27, 1993 of the Government guiding the implementation of the Plant Protection and Quarantine Ordinance;

Pursuant to the Regulation on Pesticide Management issued together with the Government Decree No. 92/CP dated November 27, 1993 guiding the implementation of the Plant Protection and Quarantine Ordinance;

Considering the proposal of the Director of the Plant Protection Department and the Director of the Science, Technology and Product Quality Department,

DECISION:

Article 1. Approve the formal registration of 15 types of plant protection products into the list of plant protection products permitted for use in Vietnam (attached list includes: 03 insecticides, 04 fungicides, 06 herbicides, 01 plant growth regulator, 01 rodenticide).

Article 2. Approve the supplementary registration of 80 types of plant protection products into the list of plant protection products permitted for use in Vietnam (attached list includes: 42 insecticides, 25 fungicides, 11 herbicides, 01 snail bait, 01 plant growth regulator).

Article 3. Approve the special registration of 01 type of plant protection product into the list of plant protection products restricted for use in Vietnam (attached list).

Article 4. The export and import of plant protection products listed in this decision shall be carried out in accordance with Circular 41/2000/TT-BNN-KH dated April 13, 2000 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development guiding the export and import of goods under the specialized management of agriculture pursuant to Decision 242/1999/QĐ-TTg dated December 30, 1999 of the Prime Minister on the management of exports in 2000.

Article 5. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of signature.

The Plant Protection Department shall be responsible for providing detailed guidance on safe and effective use of the aforementioned plant protection chemicals.

Article 6. The Head of the Ministry's Office, the Director of the Plant Protection Department, the Director of the Science, Technology and Product Quality Department, the Heads of units under the Ministry, and organizations, individuals within the country and foreigners managing, producing, trading, and using plant protection products in Vietnam are responsible for implementing this decision.
