Regarding the registration for official use, supplementary registration, and special case registration of certain types of plant protection chemicals and the list of those permitted for use in Vietnam

Based on Article 26 of the Plant Protection and Quarantine Ordinance promulgated on February 15, 1993;

THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT

Pursuant to the Decree No. 73/CP dated November 1, 1995 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;

Based on the regulations governing plant protection chemicals issued together with Decree No. 92/CP dated November 27, 1993 of the Government guiding the implementation of the Plant Protection and Quarantine Ordinance;

Considering the proposal of the Director of the Plant Protection Department and the Director of the Science, Technology and Product Quality Department.

Officially register nine types of plant protection chemicals into the list of plant protection chemicals permitted for use in Vietnam (attached list), including: two insecticides, one fungicide, four herbicides, and two plant growth regulators.

Pursuant to …;

Article 1. Supplementally register ninety types of plant protection chemicals, including: forty-eight insecticides, twenty-nine fungicides, eleven herbicides, one rodenticide, and one plant growth regulator into the list of plant protection chemicals permitted for use in Vietnam (attached list).

Article 2. Transfer the herbicide Gramoxone 20SL, active ingredient Paraquat, from the restricted use list to the list of plant protection chemicals permitted for use in Vietnam. The scope of use of this chemical shall be defined by the Plant Protection Department.

Article 3. Special case registration for two fungicides with trade names Sông Lam 333 50 ND and Exin 4.5 HP, both containing the active ingredient Salicylic acid, into the list of plant protection chemicals permitted for use in Vietnam (attached list).

Article 4. The export and import of the plant protection chemicals issued together with this decision shall be carried out in accordance with Circular No. 62/2001/TT-BNN dated June 5, 2001 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development guiding the export and import of goods under specialized agricultural management pursuant to Decision No. 46/2001/QĐ-TTg dated April 4, 2001 of the Prime Minister on managing exports and imports of goods during the period 2001-2005.

Article 5. The Plant Protection Department shall be responsible for providing detailed guidance on safe and effective use of the aforementioned plant protection chemicals.

Article 6. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of signature.

The Heads of the Ministry's Office, the Director of the Plant Protection Department, the Director of the Science, Technology and Product Quality Department, the Heads of units under the Ministry, and domestic and foreign organizations and individuals managing, producing, trading, and using plant protection chemicals in Vietnam shall be responsible for implementing this Decision.

Article 7. The Director of the Ministry's Office, the Director of the Plant Protection Department, the Director of the Science, Technology and Standardization Department, the Heads of units under the Ministry, and domestic organizations and individuals, as well as foreign persons managing, producing, trading, and using plant protection chemicals in Vietnam shall be responsible for implementing this Decision.
