THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Considering the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province and the Minister, Head of the Organization-Cadre Department of the Government,
DECREE:
Article 1. Now, establish Dong Xoai town - the provincial capital of Binh Phuoc province based on the entire area and population of Dong Xoai township; 8,028 hectares of natural land area and 10,816 inhabitants of Tan Thanh commune; 689 hectares of natural land area and 2,387 inhabitants of Tan Phuoc commune; 120 hectares of natural land area and 394 inhabitants of Thuan Loi commune and 5,200 hectares of natural land area and 7,361 inhabitants of Tan Hung commune under Dong Phu district.
Dong Xoai town has 16,957 hectares of natural land area and 50,758 inhabitants, including 7 grassroots administrative units which are Tan Dong, Tan Xuan, Tan Binh, Tan Phu wards and Tan Thanh, Tien Thanh, Tien Hung communes.
The administrative boundaries of Dong Xoai town: East and North bordering Dong Phu district; West bordering Binh Long district; South bordering Dong Phu district and Tan Uyen district (Binh Duong province).

Article 2. Establish the wards and communes of Dong Xoai town as follows:
1. Establish Tan Dong ward based on 745 hectares of natural land area and 4,823 inhabitants.
The administrative boundaries of Tan Dong ward: East borders Dong Tam commune (Dong Phu district); West borders Tan Phu ward; South borders Tan Xuan ward; North borders Thuan Loi commune (Dong Phu district).
2. Establish Tan Xuan ward based on 1,469 hectares of natural land area and 12,311 inhabitants.
The administrative boundaries of Tan Xuan ward: East borders Dong Tam, Tan Phuoc and Tan Hung communes (Dong Phu district); West borders Tan Binh ward; South borders Tien Hung commune; North borders Tan Dong ward.
3. Establish Tan Binh ward based on 552 hectares of natural land area and 7,884 inhabitants.
The administrative boundaries of Tan Binh ward: East borders Tan Xuan ward; West borders Tien Thanh commune; South borders Tien Hung commune; North borders Tan Phu ward.
4. Establish Tan Phu ward based on 843 hectares of natural land area and 7,169 inhabitants.
The administrative boundaries of Tan Phu ward: East borders Tan Dong ward; West borders Tien Thanh commune; South borders Tan Binh ward; North borders Thuan Loi commune (Dong Phu district).
5. Establish Tien Thanh commune based on 2,420 hectares of natural land area and 2,820 inhabitants.
The administrative boundaries of Tien Thanh commune: East borders Tan Phu and Tan Binh wards; West borders Tan Thanh commune; South borders Tien Hung commune; North borders Thuan Loi commune (Dong Phu district).
6. Establish Tan Thanh commune based on 5,728 hectares of natural land area and 8,390 inhabitants.
The administrative boundaries of Tan Thanh commune: East borders Tien Thanh commune; West borders Minh Lap commune (Binh Long district); South borders Tien Hung commune; North borders Thuan Loi commune (Dong Phu district).
7. Establish Tien Hung commune based on 5,200 hectares of natural land area and 7,361 inhabitants.
The administrative boundaries of Tien Hung commune: East borders Tan Hung commune (Dong Phu district); West borders An Ninh commune (Tan Uyen district, Binh Duong province); South borders Tan Loi commune (Dong Phu district); North borders Tien Thanh, Tan Thanh communes, Tan Binh and Tan Xuan wards.
Article 3. This Decree takes effect from the date of issuance. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree shall be abolished.
Article 4. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province, the Minister, Head of the Organization-Cadre Department of the Government and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
