Pursuant to the Law on Government Organization dated December 25, 2000,1;

Pursuant to the Law on Encouragement, Reward and Honor dated November 26, 2003;i ENFORCING CRIMINAL SENTENCES ON 1JUNE 7, 202010;

Based on the Labor Code dated June 18, 2012;

Pursuant to the proposal of the Director of the Department of Ethnic Affairs and Religion Propaganda;on 2006;

Article 1. Amending and supplementing Clause 1 of Article 8 as follows:

The food and rest regime for prisoners on holidays and Tet festivals shall be implemented according to Clause 1 of Article 29, Clause 1 of Article 42 of the Law on Enforcement of Criminal Sentences and Clause 1 of Article 115 of the Labor Code 2012.

Article 2. Amending and supplementing Article 15 as follows:

Foreign prisoners shall be managed and detained separately in prisons. The regimes concerning food, clothing, housing, daily life, and health care for foreign prisoners shall be carried out as prescribed for Vietnamese prisoners, with the additional holiday of one day for their traditional Tet festival and one day for their National Day. The food regime during the traditional Tet festival and National Day shall be implemented according to Article 1 of this Decree.

Article 3. Implementation Provisions

1. This Decree takes effect from November 27, 2015. In cases where the referenced documents in this Decree are replaced or amended, they shall be implemented according to the replacement or amended documents.

2. The Minister of Public Security and the Minister of Defense shall take the lead and coordinate with relevant ministries and sectors to guide, inspect, and urge the implementation of this Decree.

3. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies under the Government, Chairpersons of provincial People's Committees directly under the Central Government are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
