GOODS FOR IMPLEMENTING THE AGREEMENT ON THE GENERAL SYSTEM OF PREFERENTIAL TARIFFS (CEPT) AMONG ASEAN COUNTRIES WITH EFFECT FROM 1996
BASED ON RESOLUTION NO. 292/NQ-UBTVQH9 OF NOVEMBER 8, 1995 OF THE STANDING COMMITTEE OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY ON THE PROGRAM TO REDUCE IMPORT DUTIES IN VIETNAM TO IMPLEMENT THE AGREEMENT ON THE GENERAL SYSTEM OF PREFERENTIAL TARIFFS (CEPT) AMONG ASEAN COUNTRIES;
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Pursuant to the Law on Export Duties and Import Duties;
- ATTACHES HERETO THE LIST OF GOODS AND TARIFF RATES FOR EACH ITEM TO IMPLEMENT THE AGREEMENT ON THE GENERAL SYSTEM OF PREFERENTIAL TARIFFS (CEPT) AMONG ASEAN COUNTRIES FOR 1996.
At the proposal of the Minister of Finance,
DECREE:
Article 1.- THE LIST OF GOODS AND TARIFF RATES FOR EACH ITEM SET OUT IN ARTICLE 1 OF THIS DECREE SHALL APPLY ONLY IF THE GOODS HAVE A CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN FROM THE EXPORTING COUNTRY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE CEPT AGREEMENT.
Article 2.- THIS DECREE SHALL TAKE EFFECT FROM JANUARY 1, 1996. MINISTERS, HEADS OF GOVERNMENT MINISTRY-EQUIVALENT AGENCIES, HEADS OF GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, AND CHAIRS OF PEOPLE'S COUNCILS OF PROVINCES AND MUNICIPALITIES DIRECTLY UNDER THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENFORCING THIS DECREE.
Article 3.This Decree takes effect from January 1, 1996. The Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies under the Government, and Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities are responsible for implementing this Decree.
