Regarding the formal registration, supplementary registration, and special registration of certain types of plant protection products for permitted use in Vietnam
Pursuant to Articles 5, 28, and 29 of the Plant Protection and Quarantine Ordinance promulgated on August 8, 2001;
THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT
Pursuant to the Decree No. 73/CP dated November 1, 1995 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;
Considering the proposal of the Director of the Science, Technology and Product Quality Department and the Director of the Plant Protection Department.
a. Approve the formal registration of five types of products (including three herbicides and two plant growth regulators) into the list of plant protection products permitted for use in Vietnam (attached list).

Article 1:
b. Approve the supplementary registration of one hundred sixteen types of products (including fifty-one insecticides, forty-four fungicides, nineteen herbicides, one rodenticide, and one snail bait) into the list of plant protection products permitted for use in Vietnam (attached list).
c. Approve the special registration of eleven types of products (including six insecticides, four fungicides, and one herbicide) into the list of plant protection products permitted for use in Vietnam (attached list).
The export and import of the plant protection products issued with this Decision shall be carried out in accordance with Circular 62/2001/TT-BNN dated June 5, 2001 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development guiding the export and import of goods under the specialized management of agriculture pursuant to Decision 46/2001/QĐ-TTg dated April 4, 2001 of the Prime Minister on the management of export and import of goods during the period from 2001 to 2005.
Article 2: The Heads of the Ministry's Office, the Director of the Plant Protection Department, the Director of the Science, Technology and Product Quality Department, the Heads of units under the Ministry, and domestic organizations and individuals, as well as foreign individuals managing, producing, trading, and using plant protection products in Vietnam are responsible for implementing this Decision.
Article 3: This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of signature.
The Plant Protection Department shall be responsible for providing detailed guidance on safe and effective use of the aforementioned plant protection products.
Article 4: The Director of the Ministry's Office, the Director of the Plant Protection Department, the Director of the Science, Technology and Standardization Department, the Heads of units under the Ministry, and domestic organizations and individuals, as well as foreign persons managing, producing, trading, and using plant protection chemicals in Vietnam shall be responsible for implementing this Decision.
