REGARDING THE ASSIGNMENT OF TASKS TO COMPANION HA QUANG DU
THE PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Considering the proposal of the Minister, Head of the Organization-Civil Service Department of the Government,
DECISION:
Article 1. - Assigning Comrade Ha Quang Du, Minister, to be responsible for youth work and physical education and sports under the Government.
The Minister responsible for youth work and physical education and sports is authorized by the Prime Minister to direct government agencies and People's Committees at all levels to implement laws and policies concerning youth and to direct activities related to the development of the physical education and sports cause.
Article 2. - The Minister responsible for youth work and physical education and sports has the following duties and powers:
a) Assist the Prime Minister in reviewing draft laws, programs on policies and plans for youth and the development policy of the physical education and sports cause before submitting them to the Government.
b) Direct government agencies and People's Committees at all levels to implement state laws, policies, and plans regarding youth work and physical education and sports throughout the country.
c) Together with Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Khanh to handle certain tasks related to youth work and physical education and sports within the Prime Minister's authority.
d) Inspect government agencies and People's Committees at all levels in their compliance with laws and policies on youth work and physical education and sports. If any agency, organization, or People's Committee is found to have made decisions contrary to these laws and policies, they shall be dealt with according to the powers of the Minister as stipulated in Articles 25, 26, and 27 of the Law on the Organization of the Government.
Article 3. - This Decision takes effect from the date of issuance. Ministers of ministries, heads of ministerial-level agencies and agencies under the Government, Chairmen of provincial and centrally-administered city People's Committees, and the Minister responsible for youth work and physical education and sports are responsible for implementing this Decision.
