THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENT

On the basis of Decree No. 22/CP dated May 22, 1993 of the Government on the tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment;

On the basis of Decision No. 132/1998/QD-TTg dated July 21, 1998 of the Prime Minister assigning the task to implement the Program: "Building models for applying science and technology to serve economic and social development in rural and mountainous areas during the period 1998-2002";

Considering the proposal of the Steering Committee of the Program, the Director of the Planning Department, and the Director of the Department of Agricultural Science and Technology Management.

DECISION

Article 1. Approves the Program: "Building models for applying science and technology to serve economic and social development in rural and mountainous areas during the period 1998-2002".

Article 2. The Program: "Building models for applying science and technology to serve economic and social development in rural and mountainous areas during the period 1998-2002", issued pursuant to this Decision, shall be the basis for the Steering Committee of the Program, units under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, and provincial Departments of Science, Technology and Environment to develop projects and organize implementation in annual science and technology plans.

Article 3. Members of the Steering Committee of the Program, Directors of the Planning Department, Directors of the Department of Agricultural Science and Technology Management, Directors of the Department of Industrial Science and Technology Management, Directors of the Department of Social and Natural Science Management, the Head of the Ministry's Office, heads of relevant units under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, and Directors of provincial Departments of Science, Technology and Environment directly under the Central Government are responsible for implementing this Decision.
