DECREE

Amending and supplementing Decree No. 74/HĐBT dated April 26, 1982 of the Council of Ministers on insignia, rank badges, and ceremonial uniforms of the Vietnam People's Army.

On the basis of the Officer Law of the Vietnam People's Army dated December 30, 1981 and the Law Amending Certain Articles of the Officer Law of the Vietnam People's Army dated December 21, 1990;

 

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;

- Amending and supplementing Article 6 of Decree No. 74-HĐBT dated April 26, 1982 of the Council of Ministers on insignia, rank badges, shoulder straps, and ceremonial uniforms of the Vietnam People's Army.

"Based on the proposal of the Minister of National Defense;"

 

DECREE:

Article 1. - Officers of the Vietnam People's Army must wear the ceremonial uniform of officers of the Vietnam People's Army when attending solemn ceremonies both domestically and internationally.

Article 2. - The ceremonial uniform of officers of the Vietnam People's Army includes winter and summer ceremonial uniforms, defined as follows:

Article 3. 1. For generals

a) Cap (for both seasons):

Cap band:

Ground Forces, Air Force, and Air Defense dark khaki green.

Navy white.

Cap top:

Ground Forces red.

Air Force and Air Defense sky blue.

The cap has silk braided gold cords with a double pine branch in gold surrounding the insignia.

Navy is dark purple.

b) K82 style uniform:

Ground Forces and Air Defense:

Winter: dark brown checkered, brown buttons, with a pine branch and one gold star on the collar flap.

Summer: light beige, beige buttons, with a pine branch and one gold star on the collar flap.

Under-shirt white, long-sleeved, stand-up collar. Black necktie (for both seasons and all branches).

AAir Force:

Winter: similar to the winter uniform of the Ground Forces. Trousers dark navy blue.

Summer: similar to the summer uniform of the Ground Forces. Trousers dark navy blue.

Navy:

Winter: dark navy blue uniform, black buttons. With a pine branch and one gold star on the collar flap.

Summer: white uniform, white buttons, with a pine branch and one gold star on the collar flap.

c) Shoes: low-cut leather shoes, black, for both seasons and all branches.

2. For colonels and majors

The ceremonial uniform of colonels and majors is similar to that of generals, except:

The cap has a white pine branch surrounding the insignia.

The collar flap has a white pine branch and one white star.

This Decree takes effect from the date of signature, the Minister of National Defense is responsible for implementing this Decree./.

Article 4. This Decree takes effect from the date of issuance. The Minister of National Defense is responsible for implementing this Decree./.
