DECREE

Regarding the division of Ky Son district, Hoa Binh province into two districts Cao Phong and Ky Son

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;

Considering the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province and the Minister, Head of the Organization-Cadres Department of the Government,

DECREE:

Article 1. Ky Son district, Hoa Binh province shall be divided into two districts: Cao Phong and Ky Son.

District Cao Phong has an area of 25,437 hectares and a population of 38,414; it includes 13 administrative units comprising communes: Yen Thượng, Yen Lap, Dung Phong, Nam Phong, Tay Phong, Tan Phong, Dong Phong, Xuan Phong, Thu Phong, Bac Phong, Binh Thanh, Thung Nai, and the town of Cao Phong. The administrative boundaries of Cao Phong district: East borders Kim Boi and Lac Son districts; West borders Tan Lac district; South borders Tan Lac district; North borders Da Bac district and Hoa Binh city. District Ky Son has an area of 20,203.76 hectares and a population of 32,979; it includes 10 administrative units comprising communes: Dan Hoa, Mong Hoa, Phuc Tien, Dan Ha, Phu Minh, Hop Thinh, Hop Than, Trung Minh, Doc Lap, and the town of Ky Son. The administrative boundaries of Ky Son district: East borders Luong Son district; West borders Hoa Binh city, Phu Tho province; South borders Hoa Binh city and Kim Boi district; North borders Ha Tay province.

Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after the date of signature. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree shall be abolished.

Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province, the Minister, Head of the Organization-Cadres Department of the Government, and the Heads of relevant agencies shall be responsible for implementing this Decree.
