DECREE
Regarding the establishment of communes and wards under Song Hinh District, Phu Hoa District, and Tuy Hoa City, Phu Yen Province
and Tuy Hoa City, Phu Yen Province
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Yen province,
DECREE
Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries are adjusted to establish communes and wards under Song Hinh District, Phu Hoa District, and Tuy Hoa City, Phu Yen Province as follows:
1. Establishing Ealy Commune under Song Hinh District based on 8,021 hectares of natural area and 3,104 population from Eabar Commune.
Administrative boundary of Ealy Commune: East borders Eabar Commune; West borders Dak Lak and Gia Lai Provinces; South borders Dak Lak Province; North borders Gia Lai Province.
After adjusting the administrative boundary to establish Ealy Commune, Eabar Commune retains 10,159 hectares of natural area and 3,228 population.
2. Dividing Hoa Quang Commune under Phu Hoa District into two communes: Hoa Quang Nam and Hoa Quang Bac.
Hoa Quang Nam Commune has 3,675.44 hectares of natural area and 11,584 population.
Administrative boundary of Hoa Quang Nam Commune: East borders Hoa Tri and Hoa Thang Communes; West borders Hoa Hoi Commune; South borders Hoa Dinh Dong and Hoa Dinh Tay Communes; North borders Hoa Quang Bac Commune.
Hoa Quang Bac Commune has 5,162.56 hectares of natural area and 10,908 population.
Administrative boundary of Hoa Quang Bac Commune: East borders Hoa Tri Commune and Tuy Hoa City; West borders Hoa Hoi Commune and Son Hoa District; South borders Hoa Quang Nam Commune; North borders Tuy An District and Tuy Hoa City.
3. Establishing Ward 9 under Tuy Hoa City based on 1,002.8 hectares of natural area and 11,872 population from Binh Kien Commune.
Administrative boundary of Ward 9: East borders the East Sea; West borders Hoa Kien Commune and Phu Hoa District; South borders Wards 5, 7, 8 and Phu Hoa District; North borders Binh Kien Commune.
After adjusting the administrative boundary to establish Ward 9, Binh Kien Commune retains 1,269.2 hectares of natural area and 5,998 population.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Yen Province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
