DECREE
Regarding the establishment of Hoa Binh District, Bac Lieu Province
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the People's Committee of Bac Lieu Province,
DECREE:
Article 1. The administrative boundaries of Vinh Loi District are hereby adjusted to establish Hoa Binh District, Bac Lieu Province as follows:
Hoa Binh District is established based on 41,133 hectares of natural area and 102,063 population from Vinh Loi District.
Hoa Binh District has 41,133 hectares of natural area and 102,063 population, including eight administrative units comprising the communes Minh Diao, Vinh Binh, Vinh My A, Vinh My B, Vinh Thinh, Vinh Hau, Vinh Hau A, and the town Hoa Binh.
The administrative boundaries of Hoa Binh District: East borders Bac Lieu City; West borders Dong Hai and Gia Rai districts; South borders the East Sea; North borders Phuoc Long and Vinh Loi districts.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Hoa Binh District, Vinh Loi District retains 24,942 hectares of natural area and 91,915 population, including eight administrative units comprising the communes Chau Hung, Chau Hung A, Hung Thanh, Hung Hoi, Chau Thoi, Vinh Hung, Vinh Hung A, and Long Thanh.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The People's Committee of Bac Lieu Province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
