THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Considering the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu Province and the Minister, Head of the Civil Service Committee of the Government,
DECREE:
Article 1. Now, Gia Rai District, Bac Lieu Province shall be divided into Dong Hai and Gia Rai districts.
Dong Hai District has an area of 52,786.36 hectares and a population of 123,440, comprising eight administrative units which are communes: An Trach, An Phuc, Dinh Thanh, Long Dien, Long Dien Tay, Long Dien Dong, Long Dien Dong A, and Ganh Hao Town. The administrative boundary of Dong Hai District: East borders Vinh Loi District; West borders Ca Mau Province; South borders Dam Dơi District and the East Sea; North borders Gia Rai District. Gia Rai District has an area of 33,760.06 hectares and a population of 118,899, comprising nine administrative units which are communes: Phong Thanh, Phong Thanh Dong, Phong Thanh Dong A, Phong Thanh Tay, Tan Thanh, Tan Phong, Phong Tan, Ho Phong Town, and Gia Rai Town.
Article 2. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong Province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu Province, the Minister, Head of the Civil Service Committee of the Government, and the Heads of related agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
