Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes; establishment of wards and communes Decree

in Pleiku city, Ayun Pa district and Mang Yang district, Gia Lai province

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the People's Committee of Gia Lai province,

DECREE:

Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries of communes; establishment of wards and communes under Pleiku city, Ayun Pa district and Mang Yang district, Gia Lai province are adjusted as follows:

1. Adjusting the administrative boundaries of Chư Á commune; establishing Thắng Lợi ward under Pleiku city.

Adjusting 706.33 hectares of natural area and 7,967 population from Chư Á commune to establish Thắng Lợi ward.

Thắng Lợi ward has 706.33 hectares of natural area and 7,967 population.

The administrative boundary of Thắng Lợi ward: East borders Chư Á commune; West borders Trà Bá ward and Chư HDrông commune; South borders Chư Á commune; North borders Trà Đa commune.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries:

- Chư Á commune remains with 1,446.67 hectares of natural area and 5,883 population.

- Pleiku city has 26,060.60 hectares of natural area and 188,223 population, including 20 direct administrative units comprising wards: Diên Hồng, Ia Kring, Hội Thương, Hoa Lư, Tây Sơn, Thống Nhất, Hội Phú, Yên Đỗ, Yên Thế, Trà Bá, Thắng Lợi and communes: Biển Hồ, Chư HDrông, An Phú, Trà Đa, Gào, Diên Phú, Tân Sơn, Ia Kênh, Chư Á.

2. Adjusting the administrative boundaries of Ia Ke commune, Ia Hiao commune; establishing Ayun Hạ commune and Chrôh Pơnan commune under Ayun Pa district:

- Adjusting 2,765 hectares of natural area and 5,130 population from Ia Ke commune to establish Ayun Hạ commune.

Ayun Hạ commune has 2,765 hectares of natural area and 5,130 population.

The administrative boundary of Ayun Hạ commune: East borders Ia AKe commune; West borders Chu Se district; South borders Ia AKe commune and Chu Se district; North borders Chư A Thai commune and Chu Se district.

- Adjusting 2,158.5 hectares of natural area and 3,708 population from Ia Hiao commune to establish Chrôh Pơnan commune.

Chrôh Pơnan commune has 2,158.5 hectares of natural area and 3,708 population.

The administrative boundary of Chrôh Pơnan commune: East borders Ia Hiao commune; West borders Ia Peng commune; South borders Ia Hiao commune; North borders Ia Pa district and Ia Peng commune, Ia Yeng commune.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries:

- Ia Ke commune remains with 3,163 hectares of natural area and 5,331 population.

Renaming Ia Ke commune to Ia Ake commune.

- Ia Hiao commune remains with 6,466.5 hectares of natural area and 6,915 population.

- Ayun Pa district has 78,891.5 hectares of natural area and 96,726 population, including 14 direct administrative units comprising communes: Ia Sol, Chư A Thai, Ia Piar, Ia Yeng, Ia Rtô, Ia Rbol, Ia Sao, Ia Peng, Ia Ake, Ia Hiao, Ayun Hạ, Chrôh Pơnan and market towns Ayun Pa, Phú Thiện.

3. Adjusting the administrative boundaries of Ayun commune, Hra commune; establishing Đak Jơ Ta commune and Đak Ta Ley commune under Mang Yang district:

- Adjusting 596.86 hectares of natural area and 74 population from Ayun commune to be managed by Hra commune.

- Adjusting 11,587.76 hectares of natural area and 2,237 population from Ayun commune to establish Đak Jơ Ta commune.

Đak Jơ Ta commune has 11,587.76 hectares of natural area and 2,237 population.

The administrative boundary of Đak Jơ Ta commune: East borders Hra commune; West borders Ayun commune; South borders Hra commune; North borders Dak Doa district and Kbang district.

- Adjusting 4,688.36 hectares of natural area and 2,515 population from Hra commune to establish Đak Ta Ley commune.

Đak Ta Ley commune has 4,688.36 hectares of natural area and 2,515 population.

The administrative boundary of Đak Ta Ley commune: East borders Hra commune; West borders Đăk Yă commune and Lơ Pang commune; South borders Lơ Pang commune; North borders Ayun commune.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries:

- Ayun commune remains with 8,764.18 hectares of natural area and 6,777 population.

- Hra commune remains with 18,449.70 hectares of natural area and 5,737 population.

- Mang Yang district has 112,606.7 hectares of natural area and 44,132 population, including 12 direct administrative units comprising communes: Đăk Yă, Đê Ar, Lơ Pang, Đăk Trôi, Kon Thụp, Kon Chiêng, Đak Drjăng, Ayun, Hra, Đak Jơ Ta, Đak Ta Ley and market town Kon Dơng.

Article 2. This Decree takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are abolished.

Article 3. The Minister of Interior, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province and heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
