DECISION

Regarding the restructuring of the Management Board of Vietnam Industrial Zones

PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;

To implement Resolution of the Third Plenary Session and Resolution of the Seventh Plenary Session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Eighth Term;

Considering the proposal of the Minister, Head of the Organization-Cadre Affairs Agency under the Government at the report No. 193/TTr-BTCCBCP dated August 11, 2000.

DECISION:

Article 1. Transfer the Management Board of Vietnam Industrial Zones to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

Article 2. The Head of the Management Board of Vietnam Industrial Zones and the Minister of Planning and Investment shall be responsible for organizing the transfer of the current tasks, personnel, staffing, and files and documents of the Management Board of Vietnam Industrial Zones to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

Article 3. The Minister of Planning and Investment shall be responsible for reorganizing the Management Board of Vietnam Industrial Zones in accordance with its functions, tasks, and organizational structure when submitting to the Government the project to implement the Central Resolution 7.

Article 4. This Decision takes effect 15 days from the date of issuance. The Decision No. 969/TTg dated December 28, 1996 of the Prime Minister on the establishment of the Management Board of Vietnam Industrial Zones is hereby repealed.

Article 5. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-affiliated agencies, Chairmen of provincial people's councils directly under the central government, and the Head of the Management Board of Vietnam Industrial Zones are responsible for implementing this Decision.
