CIRCULAR
Regulations on the import of tobacco leaves
under tariff quotas for the year 2020
Pursuant to Decree No. 98/2017/NĐ-CP dated August 18, 2017, of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Industry and Trade;
Pursuant to Decree No. 69/2018/NĐ-CP dated May 15, 2018 of the Government detailing certain provisions of the Law on Foreign Trade Management;
At the proposal of the Director of the Import-Export Department,
The Minister of Industry and Trade issues this Circular to regulate the import of tobacco leaves under tariff quotas for the year 2020.
Article 1. Quantity of tariff quota for import in 2020
The quantity of tobacco leaves (HS Code 2401) imported under tariff quotas for the year 2020 is 59,098 tons.
Article 2. Recipients and methods of allocating tariff quotas for import
The allocation of tariff quotas for the import of tobacco leaves shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of Government Decree No. 69/2018/NĐ-CP dated May 15, 2018, detailing certain articles of the Law on Management of Foreign Trade, and Circular No. 12/2018/TT-BCT dated June 15, 2018, issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, detailing certain articles of the Law on Management of Foreign Trade.
Article 3. Effectiveness
This Circular takes effect from February 29, 2020 until December 31, 2020./.
