NUMBER 01/2007/NĐ-CP of the Government on transferringthe General Statistics Officeto the Ministry
of Planning and Investment

THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Government Organization dated December 25, 2001; To implement the reform of the government machinery;
Upon the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs at the Report No. 4572/TTr-BNV dated December 28, 2006 regarding the transfer of the General Statistics Office to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
DECREE
Article 1. Transfer the General Statistics Office to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
Article 2. Assign the Minister of Planning and Investment to manage the General Statistics Office.
The Minister of Planning and Investment shall submit to the Prime Minister for issuance of a decision detailing the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the General Statistics Office in accordance with the law.
Article 3. This Decree takes effect from the date of promulgation and replaces Decree No. 101/2003/NĐ-CP dated September 3, 2003 of the Government on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the General Statistics Office.
The Minister of Planning and Investment, the Minister of Home Affairs, the Director of the General Statistics Office, and the Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of central government agencies, Chairpersons of provincial People's Committees, and Chairpersons of municipal People's Committees directly under the Central Government are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
