Issuing national technical regulations on food safety conditions for fish sauce production facilities, fish products in sauce form, and dried seafood used as food

Pursuant to Decree No. 01/2008/NĐ-CP dated January 3, 2008 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; Decree No. 75/2009/NĐ-CP dated September 10, 2009 of the Government amending Article 3 of Decree No. 01/2008/NĐ-CP dated January 3, 2008 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;
Pursuant to the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations dated June 29, 2006;
Pursuant to the Fisheries Law dated November 26, 2006;
Pursuant to the Food Safety Law dated June 17, 2010;
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development hereby promulgates as follows:
Article 1. Issued together with this Circular are 03 National Technical Regulations on food safety conditions in the production and business of aquatic products:
1. National Technical Regulation: Fish Sauce Production Facility - Food Safety Conditions.

2. National Technical Regulation: Dried Aquatic Product Production Facility - Food Safety Conditions.
Code: QCVN 02 - 17: 2012/BNNPTNT
3. National Technical Regulation: Fish Product in Sauce Form Production Facility - Food Safety Conditions.

Article 2. Effective Date
Clause 1. This Circular abolishes Clause 5 and Clause 6 of Article 1 of Circular No. 47/2009/TT-BNNPTNT dated July 31, 2009 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development promulgating National Technical Regulations on hygiene and safety conditions in fish production.
Clause 2. This Circular shall take effect 45 days from the date of issuance.
Clause 3. The technical provisions applicable to small-scale production facilities of fish products in sauce form, small-scale fish sauce production facilities, and small-scale dried seafood production facilities in the aforementioned 03 (three) National Technical Regulations under Article 1 shall take effect six months from the date of issuance of this Circular.
Article 3. Implementation Organization
Clause 1. The Director of the Directorate of Quality Assurance for Forestry, Agriculture, and Fisheries, heads of relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals shall be responsible for implementing this Circular.
Clause 2. During implementation, if there are any difficulties, relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals shall promptly report to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for study, amendment, and supplementation./.
