||| Regulations on the Import of Tobacco Leaves under Tariff Quotas for the Year 2013

Pursuant to Decree No. 95/2012/NĐ-CP dated November 12, 2012 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Industry and Trade;
Pursuant to Decree No. 12/2006/NĐ-CP dated January 23, 2006 of the Government detailing the implementation of the Law on Trade regarding international trade activities and foreign agency purchase, sale, processing, and transit of goods;
The Minister of Industry and Trade hereby stipulates the importation of tobacco leaves under tariff quotas for the year 2013 as follows:
Article 1. Quantity of Imported Tobacco Leaves under Tariff Quotas
The quantity of imported tobacco leaves (HS Code 2401) under tariff quotas for the year 2013 is 42,000 tons.
Article 2. Principles for Issuing Import Licenses for Tobacco Leaves under Tariff Quotas
Trading entities shall be allocated tariff quotas for the import of tobacco leaves in accordance with Circular No. 04/2006/TT-BTM dated April 6, 2006 of the Ministry of Trade (now the Ministry of Industry and Trade) guiding certain provisions of Decree No. 12/2006/NĐ-CP dated January 23, 2006 of the Government detailing the implementation of the Law on Trade regarding international trade activities and foreign agency purchase, sale, processing, and transit of goods.
Article 3. Effectiveness
This Circular takes effect from January 18, 2013 until December 31, 2013.
