Issuing the List of Toponyms for Population, Topography, Hydrography, and Socio-Economic Purposes to Serve the Work of Compiling Maps of Lam Dong Province

Pursuant to the Law on Surveying and Mapping dated June 14, 2018;

Pursuant to Decree No. 36/2017/NĐ-CP dated April 4, 2017 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment;

AT THE REQUEST OF THE DIRECTOR OF THE VIETNAM GEODETIC, CARTOGRAPHIC AND GEO-INFORMATION AGENCY AND THE HEAD OF THE LEGAL AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT;

The Minister of Natural Resources and Environment issues this Circular on issuing the List of Toponyms for Population, Topography, Hydrography, and Socio-Economic Purposes to Serve the Work of Compiling Maps of Lam Dong Province.

Clause 4 of Article 6Attached to this Circular is the List of Toponyms for Population, Topography, Hydrography, and Socio-Economic Purposes to Serve the Work of Compiling Maps of Lam Dong Province.

12/2025/TT-BNNMT dated June 19, 2025 issued by the Minister of Agriculture and EnvironmentThis Circular takes effect from June 16, 2021.

Article 3. Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, agencies under the Government, People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities, and relevant organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Circular./.

SERVING THE WORK OF COMPILING MAPS

OF LAM DONG PROVINCE

Part I

GENERAL PROVISIONS

1. The List of Toponyms for Population, Topography, Hydrography, and Socio-Economic Purposes to Serve the Work of Compiling Maps of Lam Dong Province is standardized from toponyms listed on national topographic maps at scales of 1:25,000 and 1:50,000 in the VN-2000 coordinate system within the territory of Lam Dong Province.

2. The List of Toponyms of Lam Dong Province is arranged alphabetically according to the names of district-level administrative units, including cities and districts, wherein:

a) The "Place Name" column contains standardized place names. Place names with the same name within the same commune administrative unit are noted in parentheses to distinguish them.

b) The "Group of Objects" column contains symbols representing groups of toponyms, wherein: "DC" represents the group of population toponyms, "SV" represents the group of topographic toponyms, "TV" represents the group of hydrographic toponyms, and "KX" represents the group of socio-economic toponyms.

c) The "Name of Commune-Level Administrative Unit" column contains the names of commune-level administrative units, wherein: X. is an abbreviation for "commune"; P. is an abbreviation for "ward"; TT. is an abbreviation for "town".

d) The "Name of District-Level Administrative Unit" column contains the names of district-level administrative units, wherein: TP. is an abbreviation for "city"; H. is an abbreviation for "district".

đ) The "Relative Coordinates of the Object" column contains the relative coordinates of the corresponding geographic object listed in the "Toponym" column, if the geographic object is represented on the map by point or area symbols, then the corresponding coordinate value is based on the "Central Coordinate" column, if the geographic object is represented on the map by line symbols, then the corresponding coordinate values are based on the "Starting Coordinate" and "Ending Coordinate" columns.

e) The "Map Sheet Code" column contains the code of the topographic map sheet at scales of 1:25,000 and 1:50,000 containing the standardized toponym in the "Toponym" column.
