Circular No. 04/2017/TT-BNNPTNT promulgates the list of wild animal and plant species specified in the Appendices of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES).

CIRCULAR

ISSUING THE LIST OF WILD ANIMAL AND PLANT SPECIES LISTED IN THE APPENDICES TO THE CONVENTION ON INTERNATIONAL TRADE IN ENDANGERED WILDLIFE SPECIES

Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 15/2017/NĐ-CP dated February 17, 2017 on the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;

Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 82/2006/NĐ-CP dated August 10, 2006 on management of export, import, re-export, entry from sea, transit, breeding for commercial purposes, growing and artificial cultivation of endangered wild animal and plant species;

Pursuant to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES);

At the proposal of the Director General of the Forest Management Department;

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development issues this Circular on the List of wild animal and plant species listed in the Appendices to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species.

Article 1. This Circular annexes the List of wild animal and plant species listed in the Appendices to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species.

Article 2. This Circular takes effect from April 10, 2017.

Article 3. This Circular replaces Circular No. 40/2013/TT-BNNPTNT dated September 5, 2013 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development on the List of wild animal and plant species listed in the Appendices to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species.

Article 4. The Director of the Ministry's Office, the Directors General of the Forest Management Department and Fisheries General Department, the Directors of Provincial Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development under central cities, heads of units, organizations and individuals concerned are responsible for implementing this Circular./.
