THE MINISTER OF HEALTH

Pursuant to Decree No. 49/2003/NĐ-CP dated May 15, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;

Pursuant to Decree No. 171/2004/NĐ-CP dated September 29, 2004 of the Government stipulating the organization of specialized agencies under the People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities;

Pursuant to Circular Joint Circular No. 11/2005/TTLT-BYT-BNV dated April 12, 2005 of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Home Affairs guiding the functions, tasks, authorities, and organizational structure of specialized agencies assisting the People's Committees in managing health affairs at the local level;

At the proposal of the Director of the Cadre and Civil Service Department and the Director of the Vietnam Preventive Health Agency,

DECISION:

Article 1The attached Decision hereby issues:Regulations on the Functions, Tasks, Authorities, and Organizational Structure of Provincial and Central City Preventive Health Centers”.

Article 2This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette and shall supersede Decision No. 2468/1999/QĐ-BYT dated August 17, 1999 of the Minister of Health regarding the issuance of the "Regulations on the Functions, Tasks, and Organizational Structure of Preventive Health Centers under Provincial Health Departments and Preventive Health Teams under District Health Centers in Provinces and Central Cities."

Article 3The Heads of the Office, Directors of the Cadre and Civil Service Department, Director of the Vietnam Preventive Health Agency, Directors of Health Departments of provinces and centrally governed cities, and Heads of related units are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
