AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIET NAM AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF TUNISIA ON VISA EXEMPTION FOR HOLDERS OF DIPLOMATIC PASSPORTS, OFFICIAL PASSPORTS, AND SPECIAL PASSPORTS
The Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Republic of Tunisia, hereinafter referred to individually as "the Contracting Party" and collectively as "the Contracting Parties".
For the purpose of further strengthening friendly relations between the two countries;
And to facilitate entry and travel of citizens of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and citizens of the Republic of Tunisia
Have agreed as follows:
Article 1. Citizens of the Republic of Tunisia holding valid diplomatic passports and special passports, as well as citizens of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam holding valid diplomatic passports and official passports shall be exempted from visas upon entry into the territory of the other Contracting Party.
Article 2. Holders of valid diplomatic passports, official passports, or special passports referred to in Article 1 of this Agreement shall be permitted to stay temporarily not exceeding ninety (90) days in the territory of the other Contracting Party.
Article 3. Each Contracting Party reserves the right to refuse entry, terminate, or shorten the period of temporary stay for any citizen of the other Contracting Party who is not welcome, including those holding diplomatic passports, official passports, or special passports.
Article 4.
1. The two Contracting Parties shall exchange samples of diplomatic passports, official passports, and special passports through diplomatic channels at least thirty (30) days before the date on which this Agreement enters into force.
2. The Contracting Parties shall notify each other as soon as possible of any changes or issuance of new samples of diplomatic passports, official passports, or special passports, and shall exchange new samples of these passports through diplomatic channels at least thirty (30) days before their use.
Article 5.
1. This Agreement shall enter into force thirty (30) days after receipt of the final notification through diplomatic channels confirming the completion of legal procedures for the Agreement to take effect. This Agreement shall have perpetual validity.
2. At any time, one Contracting Party may notify the other Contracting Party through diplomatic channels of its decision to terminate the effectiveness of this Agreement. In such case, the Agreement shall cease to be effective thirty (30) days after the date indicated on the notification sent to the other Contracting Party.
3. Upon request of one Contracting Party, this Agreement may be amended with the agreement of both Contracting Parties. Amendments agreed upon by both Contracting Parties shall take effect according to similar legal procedures as provided for in Clause 1 of this Article.
Done in Hanoi, June 26, 2007, in two original copies, in Vietnamese, Arabic, and English; all texts shall have equal value. In case of different interpretations of this Agreement, the English text shall be used as the basis.
