Pursuant to the Quality of Goods Ordinance dated December 24, 1999;
Pursuant to the Posts and Telecommunications Ordinance dated May 25, 2002;
Pursuant to Decree No. 90/2002/NĐ-CP dated November 11, 2002 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications;
Pursuant to Decree No. 179/2004/NĐ-CP dated October 21, 2004 of the Government stipulating state management over product and commodity quality;
At the proposal of the Director of the Science and Technology Department,
DECISION:
Article 1. Abolish the mandatory application of the following Industry Standards:
1. Equipment CT2/CT2 PLUS - Technical Requirements, Code TCN 68-148: 1995 issued together with Decision No. 1035/QĐ-KHCN dated August 1, 1995 of the General Director of the Posts and Telecommunications Administration;
2. Information equipment - General requirements for climatic conditions, Code TCN 68-149: 1995 issued together with Decision No. 1035/QĐ-KHCN dated August 1, 1995 of the General Director of the Posts and Telecommunications Administration;
3. Industrial interference and radio frequency interference - Prevention regulations, Code QPN 68-151: 1995 issued together with Decision No. 1614/QĐ-KHCN dated December 26, 1995 of the General Director of the Posts and Telecommunications Administration;
4. Card-operated telephone system - Technical requirements, Code TCN 68-166: 1997 issued together with Decision No. 796/1997/QĐ-TCBĐ dated December 30, 1997 of the General Director of the Posts and Telecommunications Administration;
5. Telecommunication network quality - Technical requirements, Code TCN 68-170: 1998 issued together with Decision No. 608/1998/QĐ-TCBĐ dated September 29, 1998 of the General Director of the Posts and Telecommunications Administration;
6. Public telephone network fax service - Quality standard, Code TCN 68-187: 1999 issued together with Decision No. 837/1999/QĐ-TCBĐ dated December 27, 1999 of the General Director of the Posts and Telecommunications Administration.
Article 2. The Industry Standards listed in Article 1 shall be voluntary standards.
Article 3. This Decision takes effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
Article 4. The Head of the Office, Heads of Science and Technology Departments, Heads of agencies and units under the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, and related organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
