CIRCULAR

Issuing National Technical Regulations for food salt (Sodium chloride) and refined salt (Sodium chloride)

Pursuant to Decree No. 15/2017/NĐ-CP dated February 17, 2017 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;

Based on the Law on Animal Husbandry 2018;

Pursuant to the Food Safety Law 2010;

BASED ON THE LAW ON PRODUCT QUALITY 2007;

Pursuant to Decree No. 74/2018/NĐ-CP dated May 15, 2018 of the Government amending and supplementing certain articles of Decree No. 132/2008/NĐ-CP dated December 31, 2008 of the Government detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Product Quality; Decree No. 154/2018/NĐ-CP dated November 9, 2018 of the Government amending, supplementing, and abolishing certain regulations on investment and business conditions within the scope of management by the Ministry of Science and Technology and certain specialized inspection regulations;

Pursuant to Decree No. 15/2018/NĐ-CP dated February 2, 2018 of the Government detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Food Safety Law; Decree No. 155/2018/NĐ-CP dated November 12, 2018 of the Government amending and supplementing certain regulations related to investment and business conditions within the scope of management by the Ministry of Health;

Pursuant to Decree No. 09/2016/NĐ-CP dated January 28, 2016 of the Government on fortifying micronutrients in food;

Pursuant to Decree No. 40/2017/NĐ-CP dated April 5, 2017 of the Government on managing the production and business of salt;

At the proposal of the Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Environment and the Director of the Department of Cooperative Economy and Rural Development,

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development issues the National Technical Regulations for food salt (Sodium chloride) and the National Technical Regulations for refined salt (Sodium chloride).

Article 1. Attached to this Circular are the following National Technical Regulations:

1. National Technical Regulation for food salt (Sodium chloride).

Code: QCVN 01-193: 2021/BNNPTNT.

2. National Technical Regulation for refined salt (Sodium chloride).

Code: QCVN 01-194: 2021/BNNPTNT.

Article 2. This Circular takes effect from August 4, 2022.

Article 3. The Head of the Ministry's Office; the Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Environment; the Director of the Department of Cooperative Economy and Rural Development; Heads of units under the Ministry; Directors of Provincial Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development and relevant organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Circular.

During the implementation process, if there are any difficulties, agencies, organizations, and individuals shall promptly reflect them to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (Department of Cooperative Economy and Rural Development - No. 2 Ngoc Ha - Ba Dinh - Hanoi) for study, amendment, and supplementation./.
