Amending and supplementing Decision No. 20/2020/QĐ-TTg dated July 22, 2020 of the Prime Minister on electronic identification codes for agencies and organizations to facilitate data connection and sharing with ministries, sectors, and localities

Information Technology Law on June 29, 2006;

The Prime Minister issues this Decision amending and supplementing Decision No. 20/2020/QĐ-TTg dated July 22, 2020 of the Prime Minister on electronic identification codes for agencies and organizations to facilitate data connection and sharing with ministries, sectors, and localities.

On the basis of Law on Government Organization dated February 18, 2025;

On the basis of Article 1. Amending and supplementing Level 1 Codes of agencies and organizations prescribed in Decision No. 20/2020/QĐ-TTg dated July 22, 2020 of the Prime Minister on electronic identification codes for agencies and organizations to facilitate data connection and sharing with ministries, sectors, and localities

On the basis of Law on Electronic Transactions dated June 22, 2023;

Pursuant to the proposal of the Minister of Science and Technology;

1. Amending and supplementing Level 1 Codes of ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, and other agencies and units established by the Prime Minister at Section II.2 Appendix I as follows: Name of Level 1 Agency

2. In cases where provinces and centrally governed cities are merged into one province or city:

Amending the phrase "Ministry of Information and Communications" to "Ministry of Science and Technology" in Clause 1, Point a Clause 3 Article 7; Point b Clause 1, Clause 2 Article 8; Article 9; Clause 1, Clause 2, Clause 3, Clause 4 Article 10; Clause 3 Article 12 of Decision No. 20/2020/QĐ-TTg.

4. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government agencies, Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities, and related agencies, organizations, and individuals are responsible for implementing this Decision.

b) In cases where the name of the new province or municipality does not overlap with the names of the provinces or municipalities before the merger, the new province or municipality shall use the Level 1 Code of one of the provinces or municipalities prior to the merger, and the Level 1 Code of the remaining province or municipality will be discontinued.

Amend the phrase "Ministry of Information and Communications" to "Ministry of Science and Technology" in Clause 1, Point a of Clause 3, Article 7; Point b of Clause 1, Clause 2 of Article 8; Article 9; Clause 1, Clause 2, Clause 3, Clause 4 of Article 10; Clause 3 of Article 12 of Decision No. 20/2020/QĐ-TTg.

4. The Minister, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government agencies, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities, and related agencies, organizations, and individuals are responsible for implementing this Decision.
