DECISION OF THE MINISTER OF AQUATIC RESOURCES

Regarding the establishment of the Fisheries Quality Management Office,

Food Safety and Aquatic Animal Health Region 6

MINISTER OF AQUATIC RESOURCES

Pursuant to Decree No. 43/2003/NĐ-CP dated May 2, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Fisheries.

Pursuant to Decision No. 07/2003/QĐ-BTS dated August 5, 2003 of the Minister of Fisheries stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Fisheries Quality Management, Food Safety and Aquatic Animal Health Inspection Bureau;

Considering the proposal of the Director of the Fisheries Quality Management, Food Safety and Aquatic Animal Health Inspection Bureau and the Director of the Personnel Department;

 

DECISION:

Article 1: Establish the Fisheries Quality Management, Food Safety and Aquatic Animal Health Inspection Office Region 6 (referred to as the Fisheries Quality and Aquatic Animal Health Office 6), under the Fisheries Quality Management, Food Safety and Aquatic Animal Health Inspection Bureau, based on the additional assignment of tasks and renaming of the VI - Can Tho Branch of the Fisheries Product Quality Control and Sanitation Inspection.

The Fisheries Quality Management, Food Safety and Aquatic Animal Health Inspection Office Region 6 has the international trade name "The National Fisheries Quality Assurance and Veterinary Directorate - Branch 6" abbreviated as "NAFIQAVED - Branch 6", with its headquarters at 386 August Revolution Street, An Thoi Ward, Can Tho City, having accounts at the treasury and banks, and seals in both Vietnamese and English for transactions.

Article 2: The Fisheries Quality Management, Food Safety and Aquatic Animal Health Inspection Office Region 6 shall assist the Director of the Fisheries Quality Management, Food Safety and Aquatic Animal Health Inspection Bureau in performing tasks related to quality management, food safety, and aquatic animal health within the provinces of Kien Giang, Tra Vinh, Vinh Long, Can Tho, An Giang, Dong Thap, and Hau Giang.

The specific tasks, powers, relationships, and organizational structure of the Fisheries Quality Management, Food Safety and Aquatic Animal Health Inspection Office Region 6 shall be decided by the Minister of Fisheries upon the proposal of the Director of the Fisheries Quality Management, Food Safety and Aquatic Animal Health Inspection Bureau.

Article 3: The Fisheries Quality Management, Food Safety and Aquatic Animal Health Inspection Office Region 6 shall have one General Director responsible for overall management and not more than two Deputy Directors assisting. The General Director of the Fisheries Quality Management, Food Safety and Aquatic Animal Health Inspection Office Region 6 shall be appointed by the Minister of Fisheries upon the proposal of the Director of the Fisheries Quality Management, Food Safety and Aquatic Animal Health Inspection Bureau. The Deputy Directors of the Fisheries Quality Management, Food Safety and Aquatic Animal Health Inspection Office Region 6 shall be appointed by the Director of the Fisheries Quality Management, Food Safety and Aquatic Animal Health Inspection Bureau upon the proposal of the General Director of the Fisheries Quality Management, Food Safety and Aquatic Animal Health Inspection Office Region 6, after obtaining the agreement of the Ministry of Fisheries.

In addition to the number of positions funded by the State budget, the Fisheries Quality Management, Food Safety and Aquatic Animal Health Inspection Office Region 6 may recruit contractual employees from the revenue generated from fees, charges, and technical services in accordance with the law to meet the requirements for completing assigned tasks. The staffing quota for civil servants and contractual employees of the Office shall be allocated by the Director of the Fisheries Quality Management, Food Safety and Aquatic Animal Health Inspection Bureau after obtaining the approval of the Ministry of Fisheries.

Article 4: This Decision shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette, replacing Decision No. 722/1998/TS-QĐ dated December 10, 1998 of the Minister of Fisheries.

Article 5: The Heads of the Office, the Heads of all Bureaus and Departments, the Inspector General of the Ministry, the Director of the Fisheries Quality Management, Food Safety and Aquatic Animal Health Inspection Bureau, and the General Director of the Fisheries Quality Management, Food Safety and Aquatic Animal Health Inspection Office Region 6 are responsible for implementing this Decision.
