Pursuant to Decree No. 49/2003/NĐ-CP dated May 15, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;

Pursuant to Article 5 of the Medicine Law No. 34/2005/QH11 dated June 14, 2005;

Pursuant to Decision No. 2964/2004/QĐ-BYT dated August 27, 2004 of the Minister of Health stipulating the functions, tasks, and powers of the Departments, Bureaus, Office, and Inspectorate of the Ministry of Health;

At the proposal of the Director of the Personnel and Organization Department, the Director of the Planning and Finance Department, and the Director of the Vietnam National Pharmaceutical Administration, Ministry of Health,

Pursuant to …;

Article 1. The Vietnam National Pharmaceutical Administration is assigned to assist the Minister of Health in performing state management functions regarding drug prices in accordance with the provisions of the law.

Article 2. Establish the Drug Price Management Department under the Vietnam National Pharmaceutical Administration to assist the Director in performing state management tasks regarding drug prices as stipulated in Article 1 of this Decision.

Assign the Director of the Vietnam National Pharmaceutical Administration to specify the specific tasks and powers of the Drug Price Management Department.

The staffing of the Drug Price Management Department shall be within the total staffing of the Vietnam National Pharmaceutical Administration allocated by the Minister of Health.

Article 3. The Standard Measurement Quality Control Department shall be responsible for organizing and guiding the implementation of the Regulations adopted herein.

Article 4The Heads of the Office, the Personnel and Organization Department, the Vietnam National Pharmaceutical Administration, the Leaders of the Departments, Bureaus, and Inspectorate of the Ministry of Health, and the Heads of related units are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
