RESOLUTION
Amending and supplementing certain Articles of the Resolution of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on
the establishment of criminal investigation agencies, security investigation agencies of military regions
and equivalent agencies, regional criminal investigation agencies
THE STANDING COMMITTEE OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY
SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIET NAM
BASED ON THE CONSTITUTION OF THE SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM IN 1992 AS AMENDED AND COMPLEMENTED BY RESOLUTION NO. 51/2001/QH10;
Pursuant to the Criminal Investigation Organization Law No. 23/2004/PL-UBTVQH11, which has been amended and supplemented by some provisions according to Law No. 30/2006/PL-UBTVQH11 and Law No. 09/2009/UBTVQH12;
Considering the proposal of the Government,
RESOLUTION:
Article 1. Amending and supplementing certain provisions of Resolution No. 728/2004/NQ-UBTVQH11 dated August 20, 2004 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on the establishment of Criminal Investigation Agencies, Security Investigation Agencies of Military Regions and Equivalent Agencies, Regional Criminal Investigation Agencies, which have been amended and supplemented by some provisions according to Resolution No. 709/2008/UBTVQH12 dated November 21, 2008 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly.
"8. Research and serve the Standing Committee of the National Assembly in directing, coordinating, and cooperating in the activities of the National Ethnic Councils, Committees of the National Assembly; assist the Chairman of the National Assembly in maintaining contact with National Assembly deputies; ensure conditions for the operation of National Assembly deputies and Delegations of National Assembly deputies; provide necessary financial and material conditions for National Assembly deputies in submitting draft laws and ordinances and proposals regarding laws and ordinances.”

2. Clause 58 and Clause 59 of Article 3 shall be amended and supplemented as follows:
"58. Criminal investigation agency of the General Logistics Department;
59. Criminal investigation agency of the 11th Engineering Corps;"
3. Clause 27a of Article 1 shall be added as follows:
"27a. Criminal investigation agency of the 11th Engineering Corps;"
4. Clause 8 of Article 1 and Clause 36 of Article 3 shall be abolished.
Article 2.
1. This Resolution shall take effect from January 1, 2011.
2. The Minister of National Defense shall specify the tasks and operational areas of the Criminal Investigation Agencies and Security Investigation Agencies established pursuant to Article 1 of this Resolution.
3. The Government, the Supreme People's Court, and the Supreme People's Procuracy within their respective functions and powers shall be responsible for implementing and guiding the implementation of this Resolution./.
