DECREE
Specifies the levels of allowances and preferential subsidies for persons
who have contributed to the revolution

THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Based on the Ordinance on Preferential Treatment for Persons Contributing to the Revolution dated June 29, 2005, and the Ordinance Amending and Supplementing Certain Articles of the Ordinance on Preferential Treatment for Persons Contributing to the Revolution dated June 21, 2007;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs.
DECREE:
Article 1. Sets the standard level for determining the levels of allowances and preferential subsidies for persons contributing to the revolution and the levels of allowances and subsidies
1. The standard level for determining the levels of preferential allowances and subsidies for persons contributing to the revolution as stipulated in this Decree is 650,000 VND.
2. Attached to this Decree are tables of preferential allowances and subsidies for each category of persons contributing to the revolution, including:
a) Table No. 1: Levels of preferential allowances and subsidies for persons contributing to the revolution;
b) Table No. 2: Levels of disability allowances for war invalids and persons receiving benefits equivalent to war invalids;
c) Table No. 3: Levels of disability allowances for war invalids type B.
Article 2. Implementation Funding
THE STATE BUDGET WILL ENSURE FUNDS FOR IMPLEMENTING THE SUBSIDY AND ALLOWANCE SYSTEM AS PROVIDED IN THIS DECREE.
Article 3. Effectiveness
1. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
2. This Decree replaces Decree No. 07/2008/NĐ-CP dated January 21, 2008, of the Government regarding the levels of allowances and preferential subsidies for persons contributing to the revolution.
3. The allowances and preferential subsidies prescribed in this Decree shall be implemented from October 1, 2008.
Article 4. Responsibilities for Implementation
1. The Minister of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs is responsible for guiding the implementation of this Decree.
2. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-affiliated agencies, Chairpersons of provincial People's Committees directly under the central government shall be responsible for enforcing this Decree./.
