On the basis of the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam;

Pursuant to the Law on Elections of Members of the National Assembly and Members of People's Councils No.No. 85/2015/QH13,

RESOLUTION:

Article 1

1. The date of election for members of the National Assembly of the XIVth term and members of People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 tenure is scheduled for Sunday, May 22, 2016.

2. The Standing Committee of the National Assembly shall announce the date of the election 115 days prior.

Article 2.

The National Election Council is established with the following composition:

1. Mr. Nguyen Sinh Hung, Chairman of the National Assembly, Chairman of the National Election Council;

2. Ms. Tong Thi Phong, Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly, Vice-Chairman of the National Election Council;

3. Ms. Nguyen Thi Doan, Vice-President of the State, Vice-Chairman of the National Election Council;

4. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Deputy Prime Minister, Vice-Chairman of the National Election Council;

5. Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Vice-Chairman of the National Election Council;

6. Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly, Member of the National Election Council;

7. Mr. Ong Chu Luu, Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly, Member of the National Election Council;

8. Mr. Huynh Ngoc Son, Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly, Member of the National Election Council;

9. Mr. To Huy Rua, Director of the Party Central Organization Department, Member of the National Election Council;

10. Mr. Ngo Van Du, Head of the Party Central Inspection Commission, Member of the National Election Council;

11. Mr. Phung Quang Thanh, Minister of Defense, Member of the National Election Council;

12. Mr. Tran Dai Quang, Minister of Public Security, Member of the National Election Council;

13. Ms. Nguyen Thi Nuong, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Head of the Delegation Work Committee under the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Member of the National Election Council;

14. Mr. Nguyen Hanh Phuc, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office, Member of the National Election Council;

15. Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh, Minister of Home Affairs, Member of the National Election Council;

16. Mr. Nguyen Bac Son, Minister of Information and Communications, Member of the National Election Council;

17. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Women's Union, Member of the National Election Council;

18. Mr. Dang Ngoc Tung, Chair of the General Confederation of Labor Vietnam, Member of the National Election Council;

19. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong, Chair of the Vietnam Farmers' Association, Member of the National Election Council;

20. Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc, Chair of the Vietnam Veterans' Association, Member of the National Election Council;

21. Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh, First Secretary of the Communist Youth Central Committee, Member of the National Election Council.

Article 3

1. The National Election Council shall be responsible for organizing the election of members of the National Assembly of the XIVth term; directing and guiding the work of elections for members of People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 tenure in accordance with the provisions of the law; coordinating with the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, the Central Steering Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Government, and relevant agencies and organizations to fulfill assigned tasks.

2. The National Election Council shall have its place of operation at the National Assembly Building, seal, operating funds, and administrative support staff. This resolution was adopted by the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam at the 10th session of the XIIIth term on November 25, 2015.
