||| 2.1 Center frequency

||| 2.1.1 Definition

||| The assigned center frequency is the center frequency of the operating channel.

||| RLAN devices typically operate on one or several fixed frequencies. Devices are permitted to change the assigned operating frequency in case of interference detection or to avoid interfering with other devices and to comply with frequency planning requirements.

||| 2.1.2 Limitations

||| The assigned center frequency (f

) for a channel bandwidth of 20 MHz is defined according to (1):c||| 5 160 + (g x 20) MHz (1)

||| where,

||| is an integer satisfying 0 ≤ g ≤ 9 or 16 ≤ g The assigned center frequency may deviate from the value determined by expression (1) by no more than 200 kHz. The equipment manufacturer must declare the use of the assigned center frequency. g ≤ 29.

||| The actual center frequency for any given channel must be maintained within the range fc ± 20 ppm.

||| 2.1.3 Measurement

||| Use the measurement method specified in 3.2.2.

||| 2.2 Assigned channel bandwidth and occupied channel bandwidth

||| 2.2.1 Definition

||| Assigned channel bandwidth: the widest frequency band allocated to a single channel, including guard bandwidth.

||| Occupied channel bandwidth: the bandwidth that concentrates 99% of the signal power.

||| When the device transmits on multiple adjacent channels, the transmitted signal can be considered as originating from a single channel with an assigned channel bandwidth equal to "n" times the single-channel assigned channel bandwidth, where "n" is the number of consecutive adjacent channels.

||| When the device transmits on multiple non-adjacent channels, each channel used must comply with the regulations.

||| 2.2.2 Limitations

||| The assigned channel bandwidth for a single operating channel is 20 MHz.

||| Additionally, the device may use a minimum assigned channel bandwidth of 5 MHz if it still meets the requirements for the assigned center frequency in 2.1.

||| The occupied channel bandwidth must be within the range of 80% to 100% of the assigned channel bandwidth.

||| In the case of using a smart antenna system with multiple transmitting antennas, the assigned channel bandwidth and the occupied channel bandwidth on each branch must meet these requirements.

||| The occupied channel bandwidth may vary over time or with load.

||| During the COT period, the device may temporarily use an occupied channel bandwidth smaller than 80% of the assigned channel bandwidth but not less than 2 MHz.

||| 2.2.3 Measurement

||| Use the measurement method specified in 3.2.3.

||| 2.3 RF transmission power, transmit power control (TPC), and power density

||| 2.3.1 Definition

||| RF transmission power: the average value of the equivalent isotropic radiated power (e.i.r.p.) in a transmission cluster.

RF Output Power: The average value of the equivalent isotropic radiated power (e.i.r.p.) in a transmission cluster.

Power Control (TPC): The mechanism used by RLAN equipment to ensure at least 3 dB of attenuation from the total power caused by a large number of operating devices. RLAN equipment must be capable of reducing TPC by at least 6 dB below the average e.i.r.p. level within the limits set out in Table 2.

Power density is the equivalent isotropic radiated power (e.i.r.p.) density average in a transmission cluster.

The following limits may apply to the entire system and in any configuration, taking into account the antenna gain of integrated antennas or dedicated antennas as well as additional gain (beamforming) in the case of smart antenna systems.

In the case of multiple channels (adjacent or non-adjacent) within the same component band, the total RF output power of all channels within that component band shall not exceed the limit determined in Tables 2 and 3.

In the case of multiple non-adjacent channels operating in separate component bands, the total RF output power in each component band shall not exceed the limits determined in Tables 2 and 3.

2.3.2.      Limits

The following limits apply to the entire system in any configuration, taking into account the gain of integrated or dedicated antennas as well as additional gain due to the use of smart antennas. In the case where the device uses multiple consecutive or separated channels within the component band, the RF transmit power on the component band is determined by the sum of the powers on the channels and shall not exceed the limit. In the case where the device operates on channels outside the component band, the RF transmit power on each component band is the sum of the RF transmit powers of the channels within that band and shall not exceed the limit.

In the frequency range from 5150 MHz to 5250 MHz, the device is not required to use TPC.

For devices using TPC, the RF transmit power and power density when operating at the highest power level (Pmax) of the TPC range do not exceed the provisions set forth in Table 2.HIf the device does not use TPC, the limit is also specified in Table 2.

Table 2 - Average e.i.r.p. limits for determining RF transmit power and power density at the highest power level (Pmax).

2.4.2.1.        Definition

Unwanted emissions from transmitters within the 5 GHz RLAN band as defined in 1.5.1.

2.4.2.2.        Limits

The power density (determined over a 1 MHz bandwidth) of unwanted emissions from transmitters within the 5 GHz RLAN band shall not exceed -30 dBm/MHz and the limit is defined by the spectrum mask in Figure 1. The limits in Figure 1 correspond to the maximum power density of the RLAN equipment over a 1 MHz bandwidth.

The spectrum mask in Figure 1 only applies to the operating band of the equipment. Outside the operating band of the equipment, the limits are defined as in 2.4.1.

Power density (measured over a 1 MHz bandwidth) of unwanted emissions from the transmitter in the 5 GHz RLAN band shall not exceed -30 dBm/MHz and the limit defined by the spectrum mask in Figure 1. The limits in Figure 1 correspond to the maximum power density of RLAN equipment on a 1 MHz bandwidth.

The spectrum mask in Figure 1 applies only to the operating band of the equipment. Outside the operating band of the equipment, the limit is determined as in 2.4.1.

In the case of using a smart antenna system with multiple transmission paths, the emission on each transmission chain must comply with the limits specified in Figure 1.

For devices transmitting simultaneously on adjacent channels, the above limits are applied as if the device were transmitting on a single channel with a bandwidth equal to n times the nominal bandwidth of each channel, where n is the number of adjacent channels being used simultaneously.

For devices transmitting simultaneously on non-contiguous channels, the application of the limits is carried out as follows:

- Unwanted emissions from the transmitter of each channel shall not exceed the mask spectrum shown in Figure 1;

- At each frequency, the highest mask spectrum level determined from the emissions of each channel used by the device shall be considered as the limit level within the corresponding mask spectrum at that frequency.

2.6 Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) Mechanism

It is the mechanism used by the device to automatically limit transmission and perform access to operational channels.

RLAN will use the DFS function to detect interference from radar systems (radar detection) and to avoid co-channel operation with these systems.

The DFS function is described under conditions where the device may transmit, subject to the condition that transmission is permitted only if it does not violate the adaptive function requirements.

There are two types of adaptive devices:

- Frame-based Adaptive Equipment (FBE);

- Load-based Adaptive Equipment (LBE).

2.6.1 Requirements for FBE Devices

2.6.1.1 Introduction

FBE devices will implement the LBT access mechanism to detect signals from other RLAN devices transmitting on a specific operational channel.

FBE devices schedule reception and transmission periodically with a cycle defined by the FFP parameter. Each observation time slot used shall have a duration of no less than 9 ms.

A device initiating a series of one or more transmission signals is called an initiating device. Conversely, a device is called a responding device.

An FBE device may be an initiating device, a responding device, or both. The access mechanism for LBE initiating devices must comply with the provisions in 2.6.1.2. The access mechanism for LBE responding devices must comply with the provisions in 2.6.1.3.

If simultaneous transmission on adjacent or separate operational channels is possible, FBE is allowed to use any combination/group of 20 MHz operational channels within the list of designated central frequencies (see 2.1) if they meet the operational channel access requirements for initiating devices specified in 2.6.1.2 on each 20 MHz operational channel.

2.6.1.2 Access Mechanism for Initiating Devices

LBE initiating devices implement channel access according to the following requirements:

1) The manufacturer must declare the supported fixed frame period FFP intervals and these intervals must lie within the range of 1 ms to 10 ms. Signals can only be transmitted at the start of the FFP cycle as shown in Figure 2. The device may change the fixed frame period FFP but the maximum rate of change is only once every 200 ms.

2) Immediately before starting transmission on the operational channel at the beginning of the FFP cycle, FFP, the LBE device will perform a CCA check during an observation time slot. The operational channel will be considered occupied if the energy level exceeds the ED Threshold Level (TL) as required in this section. If the operational channel is determined to be unoccupied, the LBE device may transmit on it as shown in Figure 2. If the operational channel is detected as occupied, the device will not transmit on that channel in the next immediate FFP cycle. However, FBE is allowed to transmit short control signals on this channel if it complies with the requirements specified in 2.6.3. If simultaneous transmission on operational channels is possible, the device is allowed to transmit on any operational channel confirmed to be vacant through the CCA procedure. The total time that an FBE device is allowed to transmit on a specific operational channel without having to repeat the CCA procedure is called the Channel Occupancy Time (COT). During this time, the device may transmit multiple times on the operational channel without having to perform additional CCA procedures if the rest period between consecutive transmissions does not exceed 16 ms. If the expected start of transmission after the previous one is greater than 16 ms, the device must confirm the channel vacancy through a new CCA procedure immediately before transmission. All transmission stop periods are included in the COT.

3) An FBE initiating device is allowed to authenticate one or several related responding devices during the channel occupancy time. Authenticated responding devices must comply with the procedures specified in 2.6.1.3.

4) The Channel Occupancy Time (COT) shall not exceed 95% of the cycle

. The subsequent interval after the end of the occupancy period is called the Idle Time. The Idle Time shall not be less than 5% of the COT and not less than 100 ms.

4) Channel Occupancy Time (COT) shall not exceed 95% of the cycle. FFPThe subsequent period after channel occupancy ends is called idle time. Idle time shall not be less than 5% of COT and not less than 100 ms.

5) Upon receiving the intended data packet, the device may bypass the Clear Channel Assessment (CCA) to immediately process and transmit management and control frames such as ACKs. The total time the device continuously performs transmission processing without conducting a new CCA must not exceed the maximum COT value as specified in step (4) of this section. For multi-cast transmissions, corresponding ACK information from other devices for the same data packet may be transmitted consecutively.

6) Limit ED Threshold Level (TL) at the receiver input is determined according to the maximum transmission power expressed by the following formula (assuming an omnidirectional receiving antenna and using e.i.r.p. in dBm):

            -75 dBm/MHz, if "5. The pre-tax weighted average cost of capital i (%) is determined according to the formula below:H ≤ 13 dBm;

            -85 dBm/MHz + (23 dBm - "5. The pre-tax weighted average cost of capital i (%) is determined according to the formula below:H) if 13 dBm < "5. The pre-tax weighted average cost of capital i (%) is determined according to the formula below:H < 23 dBm;

            -85 dBm/MHz, if "5. The pre-tax weighted average cost of capital i (%) is determined according to the formula below:H ≥ 23 dBm.

2.6.1.3.        Access mechanism of the responding device

Requirement 3) in 2.6.1.2 stipulates that the initiating device grants permission to the responding device to transmit on the operational channel during the current fixed frame period FFP. The responding device, upon receiving permission to transmit, must comply with procedures from steps 1) to 3) of this section.

1) A responding device granted permission to transmit by an initiating device may transmit on the operational channel as follows:

a) The responding device may transmit without performing the CCA monitoring procedure if the transmission time is no more than 16 ms from the previous transmission time of the initiating device granting permission. initiating granting permission.

b) The responding device must not transmit within 16 ms from the previous transmission time of the initiating device granting permission and must perform the CCA channel check procedure on the operational channel before transmitting. The CCA procedure must be performed within a monitoring time slot not exceeding 25 ms from the previous transmission time of the initiating device.

If the signal detected during monitoring exceeds the threshold level (TL) specified in step 6) of 2.6.1.2, the responding device must follow step 3) of this section. Otherwise, the responding device follows step 2) of this section. ED Threshold Level 2) The responding device may transmit on the operational channel during the remaining COT period of the current cycle. The responding device (Responding Device) may transmit multiple times on the operational channel if the interval between consecutive transmissions does not exceed 16 ms. Upon completing the transmission, the responding device will follow the procedure in step 3).

b) The responding device must not transmit within 16 ms from the previous transmission time of the initiating device granting permission and must perform the CCA channel check procedure on the operational channel before transmitting. FFP 3) The responding device loses permission to transmit.2.6.2.      Requirements for the LBE device 2.6.2.1.        Introduction

The LBE device shall implement the Listen Before Talk (LBT) channel access mechanism to detect whether there is an RLAN signal transmission on the operational channel.

2.6.2.2.        Adaptive classification

The LBE device may be classified as an initiating device, a responding device, or both types. The access mechanism for the LBE initiating device must comply with the provisions in 2.6.2.6. The access mechanism for the LBE responding device must comply with the provisions in 2.6.2.7.

The LBE device transmits during the COT periods. Each COT includes at least one transmission period of the initiating device and may also include transmission periods of corresponding responding devices.

A controlling device (not DFS) that manages the operating parameters of one or several other devices is called a supervising device. Conversely, the devices controlled by the supervising device are called supervised devices.

2.6.2.3.        Multi-channel usage

A device initiating a series of one or more transmission signals is called an initiating device. Conversely, a device is called a responding device.

If simultaneous transmission capability exists on adjacent or separate operational channels, the LBE must meet the following option:

- The LBE is permitted to use any combination/group of 20 MHz operational channels within the defined central frequency list (in Article 2.1) if it meets the channel access requirements for the initiating device specified in 2.6.2.6 on each 20 MHz operational channel;

- The LBE uses a combination/group of 20 MHz channels within a 40 MHz, 80 MHz, or 160 MHz link channel and can transmit on any 20 MHz operational channel if it meets the channel access requirements for the initiating device specified in 2.6.2.6 on one of the 20 MHz operational channels (called the primary operational channel) and performs a CCA check for at least 25 ms to determine that there is no signal with a level greater than the ED Threshold Level (TL) (see 2.6.2.5) on another operational channel to be used.

The 40 MHz, 80 MHz, and 160 MHz link channels are arranged as shown in Figure 3.

40 MHz Channel

80 MHz Channel

160 MHz Channel

Figure 3 - Arrangement of 40 MHz, 80 MHz, 160 MHz Channels

The selection of the primary operational channel is carried out in one of the following two ways:

-      Randomly selecting each time the corresponding contention window CW associated with a transmission of the primary operational channel is set to the minimum CW

. The CW will remain unchanged for each priority class (see 2.6.2.4) in a 20 MHz component channel of a 40 MHz, 80 MHz, or 160 MHz link channel;

-      Randomly selecting and not changing more than once in one second.

The 40 MHz, 80 MHz, and 160 MHz link channels containing groups of 20 MHz operational channels will not change more than once in one second.

2.6.2.4.        Priority classes

Table 7, Table 8 contain four sets of channel access parameters corresponding to supervising and supervised devices, creating priority classes and the largest COT parameter. These parameters are used by the initiating device in the channel access mechanism (at 2.6.2.6) to access the operational channel.Maximum Downhill GradientThe CW window will remain unchanged for each priority class (see 2.6.2.4) in a 20 MHz component channel of a 40 MHz, 80 MHz, or 160 MHz link channel.

- Random selection and not changed more than once in one second.

A 40 MHz, 80 MHz, or 160 MHz link channel containing a group of 20 MHz operational channels shall not change more than once in one second.

2.6.2.4 Priority Classes

Tables 7 and 8 contain four sets of channel access parameters corresponding to monitoring and monitored devices, creating priority classes and the largest COT values. These parameters are used by initiating devices in the channel access mechanism (at 2.6.2.6) to access operational channels.

If the occupied channel contains at least two transmission segments, the transmission segments must be separated by a specific guard interval. The Channel Occupancy Time (COT) is determined by the sum of all transmission intervals and guard intervals not exceeding 25 ms within the occupied channel. The value of COT shall not exceed the maximum value specified in Table 7 and Table 8. The distance between the last transmission time point to the first transmission time point in an occupied channel shall not exceed 20 ms.

The initiating device may transmit on different priority classes. In such cases, the channel access mechanism simultaneously uses the corresponding Channel Occupancy Engine (COE) tools for each different priority class defined in 2.6.2.6.Channel Occupancy Enginecorresponding to each different priority class specified in 2.6.2.6.

2.6.2.6 Initiating Device Access Mechanism

Before transmitting on an operational channel, the initiating device must activate and operate at least one COE procedure to perform the steps from 1) to 8) below. The COE procedure uses parameters specified in Table 7 and Table 8.

The observation window defined in 1.5.26 and used herein shall not be less than 9 ms.

The initiating device will use from 1 to 4 different COE procedures corresponding to each priority class defined in 2.6.2.4.

1)

The COE procedure sets CW 1. Voluntary drug rehabilitation participants CWMaximum Downhill Gradient.

2)

The COE procedure randomly selects a number BB 1.6 within the range from 0 to CW. Note 2 in Table 7 defines a different range of BB 1.6 when the preceding or subsequent COT interval is larger than the maximum COT value specified in Table 7.

3)

The COE procedure initiates a priority time interval as prescribed from step 3a) to step 3c):

a)

The COE procedure sets the parameter t, according to the corresponding priority class as in 2.6.2.4

b)

The COE procedure waits for 16 ms

c)

The COE procedure performs the ||| CCA procedure on the operational channel within the observation window.

i)

The operational channel will be considered occupied if there is a signal on the channel greater than the detection threshold ED Threshold as in 2.6.2.5. At that time, the COE procedure will initiate a priority time interval according to step 3a) after the detected signal in the channel is lower than the detection threshold ED Threshold;

In case the signal on the operational channel is lower than the detection threshold ED Threshold, t, may be reduced by a decrement not exceeding 1. If t, equals 0, the COE procedure will proceed to step 4). Otherwise, the COE procedure will proceed to step 3c);

4)

The COE procedure will perform the fallback procedure according to steps from 4a) to 4d) as follows:

a)

Determine whether the COE procedure meets the fallback condition. If BB 1.6 < 0 and in a ready-to-transmit state, the COE procedure will set CW 1. Voluntary drug rehabilitation participants CWMaximum Downhill Gradient and select a random number BB 1.6 uniformly distributed in the range from 0 to CW before performing step 4b). NOTE 2: In the case where the device has an internal conflict;

The COE procedure may start transmitting with the corresponding or higher priority on one or more operational channels. If transmitting on multiple operational channels, the initiating device must meet all requirements in 2.6.2.3:

6)

The CAE procedure may start transmitting at the corresponding or higher priority level on one or more operational channels. If transmitting on multiple operational channels, the initiating device must meet all requirements in 2.6.2.3:

a)

CAE may transmit multiple times without performing the CCA procedure on the operating channel if the interval between transmissions does not exceed 16 ms. Conversely, if the interval between transmissions exceeds 16 ms but does not exceed 25 ms, the initiating device may continue to transmit if no signal exceeding the threshold level is detected on the operating channel during the observation time slot;

b)

CAE may grant transmission rights on the current operating channel to one or more responding devices. If granted transmission rights by the initiating device, the responding device must follow the procedures specified in 2.6.2.7;

c)

The initiating device may transmit simultaneously with lower priority levels than the priority level being used by CAE, provided that the transmission duration does not exceed the time required for CAE to transmit at the determined priority level;

7)

Upon completion of channel occupation and confirmation of at least one successful transmission at the start of channel occupation, the initiating device will proceed with step 1). Otherwise, the initiating device will proceed with step 8);

8)

The initiating device may retransmit. If the device does not retransmit, CAE will ignore all data packets within the channel occupation period and proceed with step 1). Otherwise, CAE will set CW to (CW + 1) x CW - 1 with CW m ≥ 2. If the value of CW after setting is greater than the value of CW m , CAE will set CW to CW CW . CAE will then proceed with step 2); CWmax, According to the provisions in 2.6.2.4, the initiating device must operate with separate CAEs for each priority class; CWmaxmay take a value greater than the level

will follow steps 1) to 3) as follows:

A responding device granted transmission rights from the initiating device may transmit on the current operating channel as follows: The responding device may transmit immediately without performing the CCA procedure if the transmission time is within 16 ms of the last transmission time of the corresponding initiating device; The responding device must perform the CCA procedure on the operating channel during the observation time slot within 25 ms before the granted transmission time if it does not transmit for 16 ms following the cessation of transmission by the corresponding initiating device. If a signal exceeding the threshold level

1)

is detected on the operating channel, the responding device will proceed to step 3). Otherwise, the device will proceed to step 2);

a)

The responding device may transmit on the current operating channel during the remaining time. 3.1.5.      Antennas

3.1.5.1.        Integrated and External Antennas

Devices may have integrated antennas or external antennas. External antennas (external antennas) are antennas located outside the device and must meet relevant requirements in the standard when combined with the device.

In the standard, antenna system components include antennas, cables, connectors, and switching parts. Antenna gain does not include gain created by advanced quality technologies such as beamforming, spatial multiplexing, etc.

Smart antenna systems may use beamforming techniques to enhance gain. The enhanced gain due to these measures will be determined separately and independently from the inherent gain of the antenna.

Although measurement methods in the standard include both direct and radiated measurements, it should be noted that the device and antenna combination must meet all relevant requirements in the standard.

3.1.5.2.        Transmission Modes

Mode 1: Single Antenna Usage

The device uses only one antenna, including:

-      Device with a single antenna;

-      Device with two spatially multiplexed antennas but connected to only one antenna at a given time;

Mode 2: Multiple Antennas, No Beamforming

The device in this mode uses a smart antenna system with multiple simultaneous transmitting antennas but does not use beamforming technology.

Mode 3: Multiple Antennas and Beamforming Technology

The device in this mode uses a smart antenna system with multiple simultaneous transmitting antennas, supporting beamforming technology.

In addition to the antenna system gain G, beamforming gain Y must also be considered when performing measurements.

3.1.6.      Direct and Radiated Measurements

Unless otherwise specified, both direct and radiated measurements must be performed.

3.2.2.1. Measurement Conditions

Measurements are performed under normal conditions or limit conditions in special cases.

Measurement channels are defined in 3.1.4.

The UUT is configured to operate at the specified RF transmission power level on a single channel.

The UUT has an antenna connector and uses an external antenna or the UUT has an integrated antenna but has a temporary antenna connector measured by direct measurement.

The UUT has an integrated antenna but does not have a temporary antenna connector will be measured by radiation measurement.

3.2.2.2. Direct Measurement Method

- Unmodulated device

UUT with integrated antennas but without temporary antenna connectors will be measured using radiation measurements.

3.2.2.2 Conduction Measurement

Non-modulated Device

UUT is connected to an appropriate frequency meter (frequency counter or spectrum analyzer) and operates in an unmodulated mode.

Record the measured frequency.

- Modulated equipment:

UUT connects to the spectrum analyzer. On the spectrum analyzer, set the Max Hold mode, select the center frequency matching the UUT's frequency.

Record the peak value of the measured power envelope. Decrease the measurement span on the spectrum analyzer and move the Marker towards the positive frequency band until reaching a level of -10 dBc relative to the peak level. Represent the corresponding frequency as f1.

Shift the Marker towards the negative frequency band until reaching a level of -10 dBc relative to the peak level. Represent the corresponding frequency as f2.

The UUT frequency is determined by: (f1+f2)/2

3.2.2.3 Measurement of Radiation

Configure the radiation measurement according to Appendix A with the spectrum analyzer attached to the measuring antenna. The measurement procedure is specified in 3.2.2.2.

3.2.3 Occupied Channel Bandwidth

3.2.3.1 Measurement Conditions

The measurement is performed under normal measurement conditions with the measurement channel and bandwidth specified in 3.1.4.

The measurement is carried out when the device operates in its normal operating mode.

UUT is configured to operate at the RF output power level used during normal operation.

When transmitting simultaneously on multiple adjacent channels, the transmitted signals are considered as a composite signal with the occupied channel bandwidth equal to the sum of the individual component bandwidths. When transmitting simultaneously on multiple non-adjacent channels, each signal is determined separately.

UUT has an antenna connector and uses an external antenna or UUT has an integrated antenna but is temporarily connected to an antenna for the lead-through measurement. In cases where the lead-through measurement is used with smart antennas having multiple transmission chains, the measurement only needs to be performed on one active branch.

UUT with integrated antennas but without temporary antenna connectors will be measured using radiation measurements.

3.2.3.2 Lead-Through Measurement

Step 1: Connect UUT to the spectrum analyzer set up with the following parameters:

- Center Frequency: the frequency of the channel to be measured;

- Resolution Bandwidth: 100 kHz;

- Video Bandwidth: 300 kHz;

- Frequency Span: twice the nominal channel bandwidth (for example, 40 MHz for a 20 MHz channel);

- Sweep Time: > 1 s. For larger nominal bandwidths, the sweep time is increased to ensure it does not affect the RMS value of the signal;

- Detector Mode: RMS;

- Trace Mode: Max Hold.

Step 2: Wait until the sweep image stabilizes.

Step 3:

- Note that the power envelope must be sufficiently larger than the background noise of the spectrum analyzer to prevent noise from affecting the envelope on both sides of the center frequency;

- Use the 99% bandwidth determination feature of the spectrum analyzer to measure the occupied channel bandwidth of UUT and record this value.

Repeat the measurement from Step 1 to Step 3 for other transmitted signals when transmitting simultaneously on non-adjacent channels.

3.2.3.3 Radiation Measurement

The measurement configuration described in Appendix A and the corresponding procedures in Appendix B are implemented.

Perform the measurement according to the method described in 3.2.3.2.

3.2.4 RF Output Power, TPC, and Power Density

3.2.4.1 Measurement Conditions

The UUT has an integrated antenna but does not have a temporary antenna connector will be measured by radiation measurement.

The measurements in this section can be repeated to measure the corresponding indicators:

- Each different TPC range (or receiver output power level for devices not supporting TPC) and each antenna configuration declared by the manufacturer;

- Each transmission mode declared by the manufacturer.

In cases requiring separate function measurement, the device may be configured to transmit continuously or in cycles with an activation duty cycle not less than 10%.

- Unmodulated device

UUT with integrated antennas but without temporary antenna connectors will be measured using radiation measurements.

3.2.4.2 Maximum RF Output Power at Maximum Power Level "5. The pre-tax weighted average cost of capital i (%) is determined according to the formula below:H - Lead-Through Measurement

Case 1: Devices capable of continuous transmission or devices capable of transmission in cycles.

In this case, the device operates on a single component band or has the capability to operate on multiple component bands but is designed to operate on a single band and can transmit continuously or in cycles.

Step 1: Skip this step for continuous transmission devices. For cyclic transmission devices:

- The use of the diode hybrid splitter and oscilloscope must display information about the cycle and ratio of the transmitted signal;

- The transmission ratio of the transmitter (Tx on / (Tx on + Tx off)) will be recorded in the measurement report.

Step 2:

- The RF output power is measured using a wideband RF power meter with a thermal coupler or equivalent over an integration period sufficiently longer than five times the activation cycle of the transmitter. The measured RF power is represented by A (dBm);

- In the case of lead-through measurement on a smart antenna system with multiple simultaneous transmission branches, the output power of each branch is measured separately to determine the total RF output power of the device being measured;

Step 3:

3.2.4.4 Power density - trace measurement

Testing is performed under normal conditions. The UUT is configured to operate at the smallest defined channel bandwidth and has the highest output power in the TPC range if power control is used, or the declared maximum power if TPC is not used.

Case 1: Devices capable of continuous transmission or devices capable of transmission in cycles.

Step 1: Connect the UUT to the spectrum analyzer and set up the measuring instrument as follows:

- Center Frequency: the center frequency of the channel to be measured;

3.2.4.5. Radiation Measurement

When performing UUT measurements with directional antennas (including smart antennas and steerable antennas), the device under test is configured to have the highest e.i.r.p. power level on the horizontal plane. This configuration will be saved for future use.

The measurements and corresponding methods are performed as with the lead-through measurements in 3.2.4.2, 3.2.4.3, 3.2.4.4. However, there are some differences to note when performing the measurements as follows:

- Power output measurement:

· When the device under test is in Case 1: ignore the value

used in step 3; G and Y · When the device under test is in Case 2: ignore the value

used in step 5; G and Y · When the device under test is in Case 3: ignore the value

used in step 6; G and Y - Power density measurement: when the device under test is in Case 1, ignore the value

used in step 5. G and Y To measure the maximum and minimum RF output power, the measuring instrument must be a spectrum analyzer or a receiver, not a broadband power sensor. In this case, if the resolution bandwidth (Resolution Bandwidth) of the measuring instrument is smaller than the channel bandwidth occupied by the signal being measured from the UUT, it must be clearly noted in the measurement report.

3.2.5. Unwanted Emission Outside the 5 GHz Band

3.2.5.1. Measurement Conditions

The measurements specified in 2.4.1 are carried out under normal measurement conditions when using the channels defined in 3.1.4.

The device under test is configured to operate in the condition causing the greatest unwanted emissions outside the 5 GHz band.

If supported, the UUT must be set to continuously transmit throughout the measurement period. If continuous transmission is not supported, the UUT is configured to transmit at the highest possible duty cycle.

Unwanted emission measurements are represented by one of the following quantities:

- Power on a dedicated load (lead-through measurement) and radiated power (e.r.p. or e.i.r.p. as in 2.4.1) when there is radiation from the casing or physical structure of the device;

- Radiated power (e.r.p. or e.i.r.p. as in 2.4.1) when there is radiation from the casing and antenna.

3.2.5.2. Lead-through Measurement - Pre-scan Procedure

The UUT is connected to a spectrum analyzer capable of measuring RF power. A pre-scan procedure is performed to determine the potential for unwanted emissions from the UUT.

- The sensitivity of the spectrum analyzer is checked and set to ensure that the noise floor is at least 12 dB lower than the level specified in Table 4.

Step 1:

- Identify unwanted emissions in the range from 30 MHz to 1,000 MHz;

Step 2:

- Set the parameters on the spectrum analyzer as follows:

· Resolution bandwidth: 100 kHz

· Video bandwidth: 300 kHz

· Detector mode: Peak

· Trace mode: Max Hold

· Sweep Points: ≥ 9,700 (if the spectrum analyzer does not support this setting, the frequency band can be segmented). If the spectrum analyzer has the capability to sweep twice the minimum required number of points, the frequency adjustment to find the maximum emission in step 1 of 3.2.5.3 can be skipped;

· Sweep Time: if not continuous transmission, the sweep time must be long enough so that for each 100 kHz frequency resolution band, the measurement time is at least twice the duration of consecutive UUT transmissions;

- Wait for the displayed results to stabilize. Identify all emissions within a 6 dB difference from the level specified in Table 4 to perform the measurement in 3.2.5.3.

- Identify unwanted emissions in the range from 1 GHz to 26 GHz;

Step 3:

· Resolution bandwidth: 1 MHz

· Resolution bandwidth: 100 kHz

· Video bandwidth: 3 MHz

· Sweep Points: ≥ 25,000 (if the spectrum analyzer does not support this setting, the frequency band can be segmented). If the spectrum analyzer has the capability to sweep twice the minimum required number of points, the frequency adjustment to find the maximum emission in step 1 of 3.2.5.3 can be skipped;

· Trace mode: Max Hold

· Sweep Points: ≥ 9,700 (if the spectrum analyzer does not support this setting, the frequency band can be segmented). If the spectrum analyzer has the capability to sweep twice the minimum required number of points, the frequency adjustment to find the maximum emission in step 1 of 3.2.5.3 can be skipped;

· Sweep Points: ≥ 25,000 (if the spectrum analyzer does not support this setting, the frequency range can be segmented). If the spectrum analyzer has the capability to sweep twice the minimum required number of points, frequency fine-tuning to find the maximum emission in step 1 of 3.2.5.3 can be omitted;

Sweep Time: if not continuously transmitted, the sweep time must be sufficient to ensure that within each 1 MHz resolution step across the frequency band, the measurement duration is at least twice the continuous transmission period of the UUT;

- Wait for the displayed results to stabilize. Determine all emissions within a 6 dB deviation range from the specified level in Table 4 for the measurement in 3.2.5.3.

3.2.5.3 Measurement Procedure - Post-scan Emission Measurement

The limits on unwanted emissions of the transmitter in 2.4.1 apply to average power levels.

The steps in this section are used to accurately identify individual emissions detected through the pre-scan procedure.

Depending on whether the signal is continuous or non-continuous, the following measurements are performed:

- Continuous Signal: the measuring instrument uses the RMS separation mode on spectrum analysis;

- Non-Continuous Signal: the measurement is only conducted when there is a transmission signal during the burst.

Step 1:

- Set the parameters on the spectrum analyzer as follows:

· Center Frequency: the emission frequency determined in the pre-scan procedure;

· Resolution Bandwidth: 100 kHz (< 1 GHz), 1 MHz (≥ 1 GHz);

· Video Bandwidth: 300 kHz (< 1 GHz), 3 MHz (≥ 1 GHz);

· Frequency Span: 0 Hz;

· Sweep Mode: Single Sweep;

· Sweep Time: sufficient to contain a burst transmission. Additional measurements may be required to determine the burst interval. If the device requires continuous transmission measurement, Sweep Time is set to 30 ms;

· Sweep Point: equal to the sweep time value in milliseconds (but not exceeding 30,000);

· Trigger: observed via image or manually executed;

· Detector: RMS;

· Trace Mode: Clear/Write;

- Adjust the center frequency of the spectrum analyzer to obtain the maximum emission during the burst transmission. This step can be skipped if the spectrum analyzer can scan with at least twice the number of points compared to the required points in the pre-scan procedure steps.

Step 2:

- Adjust the signal capture level to select the emission with the highest level;

- Set the window to coincide with the start and end of the burst transmission to measure the RMS power in the time domain. If the unwanted emission caused by continuous signals needs to be measured, the measurement window must be set to coincide with the start and end of each sweep;

- Select and record the measured RMS power value, then compare it with the limit in Table 4.

The measurement procedures in this section are carried out for each emission identified through the pre-scan procedure in 3.2.5.2.

In cases where the device uses a smart antenna with multiple transmission branches, the measurement is performed on each active transmission branch. The measurement results are used to compare against one of the two options below:

- Option 1: the measurement results on each transmission branch at intervals of 1 MHz are summed and compared with the limit in Table 4;

- Option 2: the measurement results on each transmission branch are compared with a lower limit of 10 x log(number of simultaneously active transmission branches) than the limit in Table 4.Tc Qu) (Tc Qu (where n is the number of simultaneously active transmit branches) compared to the limit in Table 4.

3.2.5.4 Radiation Measurement

The measurement configuration is defined in Appendix A by connecting the spectrum analyzer to the measurement antenna, then performing the measurement according to the procedure in 3.2.5.2 and 3.2.5.3.

3.2.6 Unwanted Emissions in the 5 GHz RLAN Band

The measurement criteria in 2.4.2 are performed under normal measurement conditions using the channels defined in 3.1.4.

The device under test (UUT) is configured to operate in a condition causing the greatest unwanted emissions in the 5 GHz RLAN band.

For UUTs without integrated antennas or with integrated antennas but with temporary antenna ports, direct measurement should be prioritized. Conversely, if the UUT has integrated antennas but no temporary antenna port, radiation measurement should be performed.

If the UUT uses a smart antenna system with multiple simultaneous transmission chains, the measurements are performed on one of the transmission chains.

3.2.6.1 Direct Measurement

Case 1: The UUT is capable of continuous transmission

The measurement is used when the UUT is configured for continuous transmission.

· Video bandwidth: 30 kHz

· Trace mode: Max Hold

· Trace mode: Video Average

· Sweep Time: Coupled;

· Center Frequency: the center frequency of the channel being transmitted by the UUT;

· Span: 2 x the defined channel bandwidth.

- Use a marker to find the highest average power level in the measured power envelope. The determined level will be considered the reference level.

Step 2: Determine the relative average power level

- Adjust the frequency range of the spectrum analyzer so that the measurement can be performed in the frequency bands from 5150 MHz to 5350 MHz and 5470 MHz to 5825 MHz. Other parameters on the spectrum analyzer remain unchanged;

- Compare the measured relative power levels (the reference level determined in step 1) with the limits specified in 2.4.2.

Case 2The UUT does not have the capability to transmit continuously

Step 1: Determine the reference average power level

- Set the parameters on the spectrum analyzer as follows:

· Video bandwidth: 3 MHz

·           Sweep Time: ≥ 1 minute;

· Center Frequency: the center frequency of the channel being transmitted by the UUT;

· Span: 2 x the defined channel bandwidth.

- Use a marker to find the highest average power level in the measured power envelope. The determined level will be considered the reference level.

Step 2: Determine the relative average power level

- Adjust the frequency range of the spectrum analyzer so that the measurement can be performed in the frequency bands from 5150 MHz to 5350 MHz and 5470 MHz to 5825 MHz. Other parameters on the spectrum analyzer remain unchanged;

- Compare the measured relative power levels (the reference level determined in step 1) with the limits specified in 2.4.2.

For equipment that has multiple operating modes (see 3.1.5.2), measurements need not be performed with all modes.

Receiver spurious emissions may be measured and represented by at least one of the following quantities:

-      Power on dedicated load (direct measurement) and radiated power (e.r.p. or e.i.r.p. as in 2.4.1) when there is radiation from the device's housing or physical structure;

3.2.5.2. Lead-through Measurement - Pre-scan Procedure

Measurements in this section are carried out when the receiver is configured to operate in continuous reception mode or non-transmitting mode.

3.2.7.2.        Direct measurement - Pre-scan verification procedure

The pre-scan verification procedure is conducted to determine the potential for receiver spurious emissions of the UUT.

Step 1:

-      The sensitivity of the spectrum analyzer is checked and set to ensure that the background noise is at least 12 dB lower than the level specified in Table 5.

Step 2:

- Set the parameters on the spectrum analyzer as follows:

· Resolution bandwidth: 100 kHz

· Video bandwidth: 300 kHz

· Detector mode: Peak

· Trace mode: Max Hold

· Sweep Points: ≥ 9,700 (if the spectrum analyzer does not support this setting, the frequency band can be segmented). If the spectrum analyzer has the capability to sweep twice the minimum required number of points, the frequency adjustment to find the maximum emission in step 1 of 3.2.5.3 can be skipped;

·           Sweep Points: ≥ 9,700 (if the spectrum analyzer does not support this setting, the frequency band to be measured can be segmented). If the spectrum analyzer has the ability to sweep twice the minimum required number of points, the frequency adjustment in Step 1 of 3.2.7.3 can be skipped;

·           Sweep Time: Auto;

-      Wait until the displayed result stabilizes. Identify all emissions within a 6 dB range of the level specified in Table 5 to perform the measurement in 3.2.7.3.

Step 3:

· Resolution bandwidth: 1 MHz

· Resolution bandwidth: 100 kHz

· Trace mode: Max Hold

· Sweep Points: ≥ 9,700 (if the spectrum analyzer does not support this setting, the frequency band can be segmented). If the spectrum analyzer has the capability to sweep twice the minimum required number of points, the frequency adjustment to find the maximum emission in step 1 of 3.2.5.3 can be skipped;

3.2.7.3.        Direct measurement - Post-scan emission measurement procedure

The limits for receiver spurious emissions in 2.5.2 apply to average power levels.

The steps in this section are used to accurately identify individual emissions detected through the pre-scan verification procedure. The spectrum analyzer must have the capability to measure power in the time domain.

Step 1:

- Set the parameters on the spectrum analyzer as follows:

·           Measurement Mode: Time Domain Power

·           Center Frequency: the spurious emission frequency determined in the pre-scan verification procedure;

· Resolution Bandwidth: 100 kHz (< 1 GHz), 1 MHz (≥ 1 GHz);

· Video Bandwidth: 300 kHz (< 1 GHz), 3 MHz (≥ 1 GHz);

· Frequency Span: 0 Hz;

·           Sweep Point: ≥ 30,000;

· Trigger: observed via image or manually executed;

· Detector: RMS;

-      Adjust the center frequency of the spectrum analyzer to capture the largest emission in the burst emission. This step can be skipped if the spectrum analyzer can sweep more than twice the number of points required in the pre-scan verification procedure steps.

Step 2:

-      Set the window to match the start and end of the highest burst emission and record the measured power value in this time window;

-      If the spurious emission to be measured appears continuously, the measurement window needs to be set to coincide with the start and end of each scan.

- Select and record the measured RMS power value, then compare it with the limit in Table 4.

Step 3:

-      In the case where the device uses a smart antenna with multiple receiving branches, the measurement is performed on each active receiving branch;

-      Determine the total measured power in the measurement window across all receiving branches.

Step 4:

The value determined in Step 3 will be compared to the limit in Table 5.

3.2.7.4.        Radiated measurement

The radiated measurement uses the measurement configuration in Appendix A and the spectrum analyzer connected to the measurement antenna. The measurement procedure is similar to the measurement procedures in 3.2.7.2 and 3.2.7.3.

3.2.8.      Adaptive access mechanism

The measurements in this section are carried out under normal measurement conditions. The channels used for measurement comply with the requirements in 3.1.4. The equipment to be measured is configured to operate at the highest output power level.

3.2.8.1.        FBE Device - Additional Measurement Conditions

The manufacturer must declare the UUT as an initiating device and/or responding device.

The manufacturer must declare the fixed frame period (FFP) intervals used by the FBE device.

All measurements must be performed in the time domain with a resolution less than 1 ms.

The measuring equipment must be able to track the UUT throughout a process of at least 250 ms with the aforementioned time resolution. If data is recorded in separate segments, the fixed frame period (FFP) intervals will be separated from each segment. The combination of all FFP intervals will be analyzed as in 3.2.8.5.

Step 1:

-      The UUT is connected to related devices during the measurement process. The signal generator, spectrum analyzer, UUT, traffic source, and related devices are connected as shown in Figure 5, where the noise generator is turned off. The spectrum analyzer is used to monitor the UUT's transmitted signal under the influence of noise. The traffic source may be part of the UUT's structure.

- The received signal level (desired signal) at the UUT must be sufficient to ensure and maintain a reliable connection during measurement. The typical received signal level value in most cases is -50 dBm/MHz.

- Set the following parameters on the spectrum analyzer:

· RBW: ≥ channel bandwidth (or the highest value of the spectrum analysis if the above requirement is not met);

· VBW: ≥ RBW (or the highest value of the spectrum analysis if the above requirement is not met);

· Trigger Mode: Video or RF/IF Power.

Step 2:

- Configure the traffic source so that the UUT's buffer ensures there is always data queued for transmission (called the ready-to-transmit condition) to the related device. If this configuration cannot be achieved, the UUT must be configured with the maximum time within the fixed frame period FFP. ||| COT - To avoid the impact of reverse traffic flow on the measurement results, the traffic source used must be unidirectional.

3.2.8.3. FBE Device - Conducted Measurement - Procedure to Confirm the Ability to Detect Other RLAN Signals on the Operating Channel in Single-Channel Mode

Step 1: Establish Connection

- The UUT is configured to operate in single-channel mode (using only one operating channel).

Step 2: Connect Interference Signal

- One of the three interference signals described in B.7 is introduced into the UUT's operating channel. The interference signal bandwidth includes the entire operating channel. The interference signal level at the UUT input equals the level defined in 2.6.1. ED Threshold Level Step 3: Confirm Device Response to Interference Signal

- A spectrum analyzer is used to monitor the UUT's transmitted signal on the operating channel after introducing the interference signal. The spectrum analyzer needs to scan to detect when the interference signal is present.

- Confirm the following requirements according to the procedure in 3.2.8.6:

· The UUT does not transmit on the operating channel during the next fixed frame period FFP following the first Clear Channel Assessment (CCA) procedure after the interference signal is introduced. The UUT may transmit short control signaling (Short Control Signaling Transmission) on the operating channel as subsequent requirements;

· In addition to the short control signaling, the UUT must not transmit other signals when the interference signal is present;· The short control signaling must meet the requirements in 2.6.3. Confirming the response to the short control signaling may require changes to the parameters on the spectrum analyzer. on operational channels as follows;

· In addition to short control signals, UUT shall not emit other signals when there is interference;

· Short control signals must satisfy the requirements in 2.6.3. Confirmation of compliance with short control signals may require changes to the spectrum analyzer settings;

-      Để xác nhận UUT không phát tín hiệu thường (ngoài báo hiệu ngắn) khi có nhiễu, thời gian giám sát phải bằng 60 s hoặc lâu hơn nếu cần phân đoạn thực hiện đo để đáp ứng yêu cầu về độ phân giải;

-      Khi bộ tạo tín hiệu chặn được tắt, thiết lập kết nối giữa UUT và thiết bị liên quan theo sơ đồ đo trên Hinh 8. Điều chỉnh bộ suy hao theo từng bước 1 dB cho đến khi chất lượng yêu cầu vẫn được đảm bảo. Mức tín hiệu mong muốn tại đầu vào UUT là Pmin;

-      Mức tín hiệu chặn tại đầu vào UUT được thiết lập bằng mức tương ứng trong Bảng 9. Ghi lại kết quả chất lượng đo và đánh giá UUT có đáp ứng được yêu cầu chất lượng trong 2.7hay không;

-      Nếu chất lượng vẫn được đảm bảo, tăng tiếp mức tín hiệu chặn cho đến khi chất lượng đạt mức thấp hơn mức tối thiểu. Mức tín hiệu chặn lớn nhất khi chất lượng không thấp hơn mức yêu cầu tối thiểu sẽ được ghi trong Báo cáo đo;

A.2. Vị trí đo bức xạ

Hình A.1 mô tả một Hệ thống đo kiểm ngoài trời điển hình.

Hình A.1- Hệ thống đo kiểm ngoài trời điển hình

Hình A.3 - Phòng hấp thụ điển hình

            : bước sóng, m;

            rm: khoảng cách nhỏ nhất giữa UUT và ăng ten thu, m;

            D: Kích thước lớn nhất của khẩu độ (độ mở) vật lý của ăng ten lớn nhất được cài đặt để đo, tính bằng m..

A.3.  Ăng ten

A.4. Bộ ghép đo

a)     Suy hao ghép nối phải được giới hạn để đảm bảo một dải hoạt động đầy đủ về thiết lập;

b)     Sự thay đổi suy hao ghép nối với tần số sẽ không gây ra lỗi quá ± 2 dB;

For battery powered equipment, the power lead should be connected to the UUT's supply terminals (and monitored with a digital voltmeter) but the battery remains present, isolated. electrically with the rest of the device, possibly by taping its contacts.

For battery powered equipment, the conduction should be connected to the supply terminal of the UUT (and monitored with a digital voltmeter) but the battery should remain current, isolating power from the rest of the battery. device, possibly by putting the tape across its contacts.

A.5.2. Bố trí vị trí

Cáp tới ăng ten đo kiểm và ăng ten thay thế phải được bố trí phù hợp để giảm thiểu tác động tới phép đo.

A.7. Tín hiệu nhiễu được sử dụng các bài kiểm tra khả năng thích ứng

-      Khi đo khả năng phát hiện tín hiệu RLAN ở chế độ vận hành đa kênh theo Tùy chọn 1, AWGN sẽ xuất hiện trên tất cả các kênh được sử dụng. Tuy nhiên, nếu thực hiện đo tuần tự trên các kênh, AWGN sẽ chỉ xuất hiện trên kênh vận hành được đo;

-      Khi đo khả năng phát hiện tín hiệu RLAN ở chế độ vận hành đa kênh theo Tùy chọn 2, nhiễu AWGN chỉ xuất hiện ở kênh vận hành phụ.

-      Khi đo khả năng phát hiện tín hiệu RLAN ở chế độ vận hành đa kênh theo Tùy chọn 1, tín hiệu đo OFDM sẽ xuất hiện trên tất cả các kênh được sử dụng. Tuy nhiên, nếu thực hiện đo tuần tự trên các kênh, tín hiệu đo OFDM sẽ chỉ xuất hiện trên kênh vận hành được đo;

-      Khi đo khả năng phát hiện tín hiệu RLAN ở chế độ vận hành đa kênh theo Tùy chọn 2, tín hiệu đo chỉ xuất hiện ở kênh vận hành phụ.

-      Khi đo khả năng phát hiện tín hiệu RLAN ở chế độ vận hành đa kênh theo Tùy chọn 1, tín hiệu đo LTE sẽ xuất hiện trên tất cả các kênh được sử dụng. Tuy nhiên, nếu thực hiện đo tuần tự trên các kênh, tín hiệu đo LTE sẽ chỉ xuất hiện trên kênh vận hành được đo;

-      Khi đo khả năng phát hiện tín hiệu RLAN ở chế độ vận hành đa kênh theo Tùy chọn 2, tín hiệu đo chỉ xuất hiện ở kênh vận hành phụ.

-      Centre Frequency: Tần số trung tâm danh định của tín hiệu nhiễu;

-      Span: 2 × băng thông danh định của tín hiệu nhiễu;

-      Resolution BW: xấp xỉ 1 % băng thông danh định của tín hiệu nhiễu;

-      Video BW: 3 × Resolution BW

-      Sweep Points: 2 × Span / Resolution BW. Nếu phân tích phổ không hỗ trợ đến số điểm quét yêu cầu, có thể thực hiện phân đoạn băng thông và đo từng đoạn;

-      Detector: Peak

-      Trace Mode: Averaging

-      Number of sweeps: Thích hợp để kết quả đo ổn định;

-      Sweep time: Auto

-      Centre Frequency: Tần số trung tâm danh định của tín hiệu nhiễu;

-      Span: Băng thông danh định của tín hiệu nhiễu;

-      Resolution BW: 1 MHz

-      Video BW: 3 × Resolution BW

-      Filter: Channel

-      Detector: RMS

-      Trace Mode: Clear Write

-      Number of sweeps: Single
