DECISION OF THE MINISTER OF PUBLIC SECURITY
Regarding the List of State Secrets of Confidential Level in the Field
of Addressing the Consequences of Chemical Warfare Agents Used by the United States during the Vietnam War.
THE MINISTER OF PUBLIC SECURITY
Pursuant to Article 12 of the Ordinance on Protecting State Secrets dated December 28, 2000;
Pursuant to Decree No. 37/1998/NĐ-CP dated June 9, 1998 of the Government on the Functions, Tasks, Authorities, and Organizational Structure of the Ministry; Pursuant to the Decree No. 33/2002/NĐ-CP dated March 28, 2002 of the Government detailing the implementation of the Ordinance on Protection of State Secrets;
After consultation with the Chairman
After reaching consensus with the Head of the National Steering Committee for Addressing the Consequences of Chemical Warfare Agents Used by the United States during the War in Vietnam (National Steering Committee 33),
DECISION:
Article 1The List of State Secrets of Confidential Level in the Field of Addressing the Consequences of Chemical Warfare Agents Used by the United States during the War in Vietnam includes information within the following scope:
1. Documents and specimens collected through investigations, comprehensive national statistics on the consequences of chemical warfare on people and the environment in Vietnam that have not been published or are not intended for publication,
2. Comprehensive analytical data from Vietnamese laboratories that have not been published or are not intended for publication,
3. Information and contents of research programs, topics, and projects on addressing the consequences of chemical warfare agents used by the United States during the war in Vietnam that have not been published or are not intended for publication.Vietnam has not announced or does not announce.
Article 2.This Decision shall take effect fifteen days after the date of signature. The National Steering Committee for Addressing the Consequences of Chemical Warfare Agents Used by the United States during the War in Vietnam and the Ministry of Public Security shall be responsible for guiding and supervising the implementation of this Decision.
Article 3.AND Ministers; Heads of ministerial-level agencies; Heads of agencies under the Government; Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
